Good morning Gerry, Hagatha, OldBroad, Draclvr, Connie, Fogfighter and all who follow. Oh I remember the slippery mornings/days with ice on walkways! Use (or stock up) with sand, kitty litter, or coffee grounds for grip until the ice melts. Great news about your new treatment Hagatha. Enjoying a cup of WADDB and bagel before I start my chores and projects.

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone...be careful on slippery walkways! wave

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Hagatha, I hope the treatment continues to go well. Is there a set time limit that you might need to do it or is it a "see how it goes" kind of thing?

Connie, thanks. That's good to know. I have used it now and then. It does sometimes get a brownish (burnt look) to it if there is any exposed area. I guess I just need to make sure I cut it down to proper size (probably why I don't think to use if often - I'm lazy!).

Gerry, we missed you yesterday. I was wondering if you had gotten more snow or lost electricity or something.

Marian, are you still having rain where you are?

Soot, I've heard of using sand or kitty litter but not coffee grounds. That sounds kind of yucky.

I hope you each enjoy your day!

Ob, happily the rain has stopped for the time being and the sun is out today. I think we have had more rain in the last three months than what is considered normal for the entire year. I will take as many sunny days as I can get. It looks like we have at least a couple of weeks now of sunshine.

Wishing everyone a pleasant Tuesday. smile

Oldbroad, I'll have three treatments over three weeks and then there will be a reassessment. The physiotherapist isn't sure it will work for me because it's normally used for neuropathic rather than muscular issues, but she treated my spine yesterday and everything does feel better, including my neck and jaw. So I guess it's wait and see.

We're still having rainy days, although yesterday was quite nice. Our rainfall this year has also been unusually high, even for coastal BC.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Tuesday afternoon. Had to take hubby over to the hospital for a procedure that required sedation this morning. They checked his sinuses to see if he is able to get an Inspire implant for his sleep apnea. He was so happy when they said he passed with flying colors! He gave the CPAP a good hard attempt, but just couldn't make it work. This implant is a small device in the chest with a wire that runs up to the underside of the tongue. When it falls back and obstructs the throat, the wire stimulates the motor nerve controlling the tongue to move back where it belongs. It all sounds kind of strange to me! But his sleep apnea had finally gotten to the point where it is causing issues with his heart, so he has to do something.

Sunny and 73 degrees F here! Feels like a warm spring day. Marian, I am so glad to hear the rain has finally stopped. I keep seeing such awful scenes in your state. And hurrah for some relief for you, hagatha! Hope it becomes permanent. My sister had a complete shoulder replacement and did really well with it.

I haven't heard of coffee grounds for traction either! What works the best - but is the messiest - is wood ashes. The traction is instant. That's what my neighbor put down for me when I was going out to the barn and the chicken house twice a day last January trying to walk on 6 inches of pure ice!

I don't know, but we should be at a very low risk for fire danger this summer, at least in my neck of the woods, which is a blessing.

Drac, your weather sounds beautiful right now too.

Good morning everyone. OldBroad, I agree the coffee sounds weird but would be an emergency type of situation if you can't wait for the ice to melt and don't have sand, kitty litter or the newer ice melt stuff that doesn't harm your grass. Cloudy and overcast down here...would really like more rain. Wow, Draclvr, that implant sounds incredible! Enjoying wide awake double dark brew and bagles until I figure out what I'm goint to do today.

Keep calm and carry on as it's only Wednesday, we still have two more days to go.

Have a wonderful day everyone wave

Good Wednesday morning. Another decent day ahead with highs in the mid-60's F the rest of the week. Very strange for January.

Kinda sorta caught up around here, so might just do nothing today!

Good morning everyone!

Actually already evening over here. And dark.
Winter too. ~ minus five Celsius and lots of snow.
Walking outdoors is a risky project.
Snow and ice falling from the roofs and slippery pavement.

The Penguin walk is recommended.

Happy Wednesday Gameboomers

Good morning everyone.

Fogfighter, stay safe and warm. And no slipping.

It's yet another rainy day here. My study cabinets should be arriving today and the install is supposed to be finished by tonight. It'll be nice to have that done. It's a tiny room so having everything built-in will save space and I'll finally have room for all my books.

I do believe that the IMS treatment for my shoulder is working.. My pain level has dropped about 50%, and that's with going to Pilates yesterday.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope you are each enjoying your day.

I did try my sandwiches again, this time using the parchment paper. They did not stick (thank you all) but still took longer to cook than the recipe said and I still don't think they were that good.
