The Safe Place was decent if you can get into that dark type of story. One puzzle was a little glitchy at first but then corrected itself and the end puzzle made me crazy while I was trying to figure it out.

I just played about 1-1/4 hours of Prim. It seems like a cute game but I don't like her voice too much. We'll see how it goes.

I finished Prim the other night. It was okay once I got used to her voice. There was a card game puzzle with no instructions but I found a little information in the Steam discussions and was then able to figure it out. It did get kind of tiring though but I think I also played it more than I actually had to. The end seemed to hint at a sequel. I would definitely play it if there is one.

Tonight I made a very brief start of Thief's Shelter just to see how it works. I did have to start a new game under a new profile because I messed up and missed something right at the beginning. I couldn't see how to just restart on the first profile but maybe I missed it. I suppose I can use it later if I replay the game. It is suggested that you play it more than once to get the full experience. We'll see. It auto saves very frequently and upon exit. I also saw that you can create a manual save but didn't quite see where yet. I didn't play enough to know what's going on yet though.

I've put approximately 9 hours into Thief's Shelter and am at about 35% completion of the game. I think I have to abandon it. I'm stuck with no idea how to proceed. Been in and out of the game trying several times. I can't play for long stretches because my motion sickness problem seems to be getting worse (I think it's my ears). I tried looking at a video walkthrough but that makes me more sick than just playing. I'll leave it on my desktop and maybe I'll try it again from time to time. I really hate abandoning games.

A good long time back I felt like replaying The Raven but never did get around to it. I am feeling it again so I think I will start that before I end up losing the feeling. I played the original from a disc. This time I will play the remastered version from GOG.

Have you ever tried the motion sickness bracelets? I just can't think of who the member is here who has said they use one for gaming and it really helps.

I think it was JKEerie at Mystery Manor. I looked at them while I was shopping on Amazon but I just don't think they would help.

Hey All - Keep an eye out for Carol Reed's newest game .. "The Final Chapter" I finished MAC Beta testing it and it is another winner !! You will love it..

But now I am playing "House of Tesla" -- The graphics are top-notch but I am getting head-aches with the puzzles.. There are a lot of them but some are very convoluted and repetative. If you played any of the "House of DaVinci" games, you will know what I mean except this one is a bit more complicated. A lot of it don't make sense to me.... hope it ain't old age or game fatigue LOL

I really miss the games like NiBiRu - Night Long, Syberia etc etc where you are a charcter you move around and follow a story and solve puzzles along the way.

I haven't played any of the House of Tesla or DaVinci games yet, sureshot, but I sure am enjoying my replay of The Raven - Legacy of a Master Thief!

Sureshot, Foolish Mortals is a long adventure game that fits the description of what you like.

Ob, I have The Raven but haven't played it yet.

Marian, I have both the original and the remastered versions in my GOG library but I had to download the original in order to play the remastered game. I guess now they only have the remastered version which includes both. I don't know why I had to download the original too. I originally played from a disc that required Steam but it didn't stay in my Steam library like some games have. It is a good game so I'll say to you what you have said to me in the past about some older games: What are you waiting for???

I will move it up on my play list.

oldbroad - I think you will like the DaVinci games -- They have great graphics, story line, and gameplay, and are loaded with very satisfying puzzles. The House of Tesla is good, but a bit Overboard with the puzzle complexity.

I finished my replay of The Raven which I mostly enjoyed. It wanted to give me trouble opening the game a few times and some of the conversations were a bit long for me. I remembered a lot about the game but there was also a whole lot that I didn't remember.

Today I started Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father, both the original and the remake. The original is so hard to see anything and I don't really like Gabriel's voice in either version but we'll see how it goes.

I hope you enjoy it, ob. And while the original was great, I can understand why the remake looks more appealing.

I took your advise and played Foolish Mortals !! I finished it yesterday !! I could not put it down !! It was a real pleasure of a game !! It did have all the elements a Point and Click game !

I am now going to try Penelope Pendrick and the Art of Deceit !

I, too, am playing Foolish Mortals - and like it very much - even though I got myself into an “inventory” mess because I AM a mere foolish mortal !!

The inventory in Foolish Mortals made sense except for one item's use that I felt was a bit odd - But it did give me an "Oh really?" moment !

I started Penelope Pendrick - and it does remind me of Nancy Drew games.. it kind of turned me off a little so I started the remake version of Limbo of the Lost !! Would you believe I am actually enjoying it ? !!
I think I will see LOTL through to the end since the game is playing with no bugs and the game play seems to be working well too. It IS a weird game but it is holding my interest -- so far !

So ... I am playing LOTL now and Penlope is in the rotation as "next"

Sounds good, sureshot. I have heard good things about the LOTL remake. I plan to play it eventually.

I am not playing any adventure games at the moment, but I think I will probably start a replay of Arthur's Knights: Tales of Chivalry pretty soon. One of my oldies that I really enjoy.

Once I realised I was mistaking ONE item in the Foolish Mortals inventory for ANOTHER, I was able to progress well and I am very much enjoying the game

The subject of Limbo of the Lost's story, very different to most other Adventures I had ever played (when it was originally released) I thought was really unusual and I liked it.
Then came all the controversary
But getting past all that now, the newly enhanced release has, in my opinion, been excellently done
