Good Friday morning. Had some snow flurries for about 15 minutes early this morning, but that was it.
Had to drive hubby to the eye doctor to get an eye injection this morning. Grabbed some WADDB on my way out the door!
My left heel has been bothering me, but I just ignored it. Did get some plantar faciitis insoles that helped. But after bowling two good games last night, on my 2nd frame in the last game, my heel just blew up in pain. I almost fell down! So, had to sit out the last game. Messaged my doctor's office and they can get me in to see a nurse practitioner at 2:30 today. I'm just barely hobbling around! Hope it's nothing serious!

Good morning everyone.
Draclvr, your heel sounds painful. Foot pain is the worst. I have noticed recently that the bones on the left side of my left foot snap and crack and hurt from time to time. No surprise, really. I have virtually no arches in my feet.
The rain has stopped here but now we're blanketed in pea-soup fog. On the plus side, if the rain holds off for a week I'll be able to tell if my pond is finally leak-free. The last time they came they pulled up all of the edges of the liner and made sure there was no water leaking over, so hopefully it's done.
Not much planned for the weekend. I'm having a movie night tomorrow with a friend. I had a dental surgery yesterday and as usual the antibiotics kept me awake all night so I'm not going to be much good for anything else.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Saturday morning. The ground is white with a little snow, but no icicles like Fogfighter.
Bone spurs. I have bone spurs. Well, THAT explains this heel pain. Don't know what the plan is, but I'm supposed to stay off it and use ice. Will wait until Monday to hear more,
The final last Christmas gathering is today. Hubby put a huge ham into the oven at 6 am. He is famous for his hams. We will do a Rob Your Neighbor gift exchange which is always a lot of fun. I see a big pot of ham and beans in my future! And a scalloped potatoes and ham casserole! I love leftover ham.
I was hoping for guests to be gone tomorrow and I could retreat back into my hermit mode for the rest of the winter. But my DIL's father died last night, so they are staying through Tuesday for the funeral. A good friend also passed a couple of days ago, so we have that funeral on the same days.

GOod morning everyone.
Soot, we haven't decided on a movie yet. I'm just going to let my friend pick something. My job is to make dinner and host. I'm planning on making a big salad and a dish of roasted cherry tomatoes, cannellini beans and haloumi cheese with some nice crusty sourdough buns.
Bone spurs, Eh? What a drag. I think they can be treated with ultrasound. Hopefully there's a non-invasive treatment that will work for you.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Sunday morning. A VERY cold 10 degrees F this morning. The black oil sunflower seeds are going fast with the birds!
Picked up a rotten head cold somewhere.
I think I'm leaving everyone to their own devices with ham sandwiches today!

Good morning everyone.
It's a bright sunny day and I might just go for a walk. if I can muster up the energy.
Later on I may take my laptop to Purolator; once again something has gone wrong and it needs to go back to Dell. Again, all part of the service plan I bought, which is nice, but this particular laptop seems to be a lemon and the plan runs out this year. The next computer is going to be a desktop since I now no longer need a laptop.
The dinner was great. I got the recipe from the New York Times. It'll be something in my quick vegetarian rotation from now on.
The antibiotics I'm on are doing some strange things to me. My right cheek is bright red. My eyes are slightly out of focus. Weird. think I'll dial back on them and talk to the clinic tomorrow.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Monday morning. Oh, my, Connie! 34 is SO cold for you down there. We had 13 this morning, but at least the sun is shining.
Thankfully no flu, Gerry, just a good old head cold. I'm reading that the flu is really bad this year.
First funeral visitation for our friend is this afternoon. Then tomorrow and Wednesday, it's for our DIL's father. THEN my visitors will leave and I can officially go back to hermit mode.
Hope to hear from the doctor's office about these bone spurs today.

Good afternoon everyone...is there any wide awake double dark brew or bagels left this afternoon? We started the morning with 25 F so a chilly start for sure but it's warmed up to 51 now but a 10 mph wind makes it feel cooler. Hope your heels are doing better today Draclvr. Hagatha, hope your antibotics stop causing stranger things. Wishing you all a cozy afternoon

Good Tuesday morning. Very cold and sunny here again.
Today is the visitation for our DIL's father. Luckily we get to go with the family an hour before, so we don't have to deal with the crowd. The visitation for our friend was yesterday... I didn't go because I was still coughing and sneezing. Hubby got there and turned around and came home. The line was at least 200 people and that was at 6:30. He was my friend's BIL and she said there were close to 800 people who went through. His widow was just exhausted. Tomorrow is the funeral and meal after for our DIL's father. Thursday morning, guests will head back to Virginia and I will have blessed quiet in my house again.
Gerry, my knees are bone on bone, but at least I don't have spurs there! It's my left heel and so far the daily exercises are only making it worse. Doctor said if nothing changes in the next two weeks, I will be referred to a podiatrist. I can't continue just sitting around forever! It's driving me nuts!

Good morning everyone; It's 25f with light snow here. Today is the first day that the pain in the lower right side of my back right by my hip is manageable. I have osteoporosis as well as arthritis, but this is the first time that an attack has lasted this long. Christmas morning I reached down to get a covered dish on a lower shelf & it felt like a someone punched me as hard as they could in my back, it buckled my knees & I fell, when I did the lid from the dish came off & hit me on the right side of my face cutting my lower lip & my jaw ended up a size bigger than it is. So Christmas dinner was about two hours later than I planned on. My husband & son kept telling me to stop sweating the small stuff, we don't care, I guess I'm always trying to make things perfect.
Draclvr; unless I missed a post which I probably did, I was wondering how Mr. Gobbles is doing? also, I sure hope doctors can do something for the bone spurs, I have a cousin that had bone spurs & she was almost in tears with the pain, I can't remember what they did for her, it was too long ago.
Stay safe out there everyone, it's been a miserable winter so far & we don't want anyone falling & hurting themselves.

Oh, my goodness, judith! How awful for you! My husband used to have that happen before he started on the injections and nerve blocks. He would do a simple thing like bend over and be down for a month.
Mr. Gobbles has finally turned the corner. I don't think I've ever seen a horse take this long... usually after a month they are able to get up on their own. He took almost 2 months to get there. He is doing well enough that he now gets daily turn-out.
