I said in my ‘first look’ that this was an exercise in patience,
which it was (and in many respects) remained. Looking back,
the aptitude that stands out is tenacity.

You play Abbi, who finds herself in a cellar communicating with an unseen voice through an intercom.
With the lights back on, the machine on the desk beckons. It came from Bletchley Park the voice tells you,
and it eats books. Not so much the classics, although some of them are there as well, but obscure and arcane
bits of literary detritus. The aim was to "crack the code of reality."

What you need to do (the voice says) is find the book at the heart of things before it's too late.

Nice review flotsam thumbsup TR-49 looks very good, different. It's getting high marks and only costs a stick of gum nowadays. I grabbed it in hopes of giving it a try soon. Thank you!

Is that autosave done at exit where you will resume exactly where you left off, or is it a checkpoint save where you will have to replay some stuff if you quit between checkpoints.

I don't recall ever going back to other than where I left off. One of the fields in the menu says something like 'last saved' and I also don't recall any answer to that other than 'just now' or 'less than a minute ago'
