It's clouding over. I was thinking about a drive up the coast today but maybe I'll wait for a better day.

Good Monday morning. Nice steady rain with lots of thunder and lightning last night. I wish it would just stop there. Unfortunately, they have raised the warnings about the weather coming in later today even more... "dangerous severe weather..." Got my truck pulled into the garage and closed it up. Needed to do that anyway because the barn swallows are trying to build nests in there. Hubby had to close up the machine shed where he parks his big truck too. They have a perfectly good huge barn to nest in and keep the monumental piles of bird poo in the hayloft!

Getting some laundry done this morning as I expect we will lose power and I can't hang clothes out on the clothesline.

I agree with soot. You are a very early riser, Gerry. When you post, I have not even been to bed yet. I'm up into the wee hours of the morning and don't get up until late morning.

We're dark and rainy here too with a wind advisory and possible severe weather to come later in the day. "Our" cat hasn't shown up here yet today. He usually comes in the morning to nap and prepare himself for his night out. I don't know what he does during storms. He is not usually here though.

Connie, I used to think of those fires being only out west but they sure do seem to be everywhere now. Very scary.
