Don't worry hagatha, the rain is coming...it's been none stop all day long here, I even went out in the rain and planted some seeds, hopefully the rain will get them off to a good start.

Good to know that the ivy grows fast, I will keep it neat and tidy when it does.

Copper, we're not getting any rain here. It was sunny all afternoon. No rain in sight.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. This is supossed to be our rainy season, but so far we are still in a drought. The wildfires are very bad. The weather everywhere has been far from normal. Enjoy the day and hug someone. hug hearts

Good Thursday morning. We are glad to be without rain for a few days, but I'm sure we will be whining about it being too hot and dry soon.

And yay! I got 66 tomatoes in yesterday. I still have to plant my peppers, but they can wait a little while.

Just sitting here enjoying the twittering and arguing of the hummingbirds with a cup of that coffee, soot. I'm just about to finish up my first 10 pounds of sugar. In another week or so, they will slow down as they start nesting.

When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.

GoOd morning everyone.

It's a beautiful day, again, which is starting to feel like bad news. There are fires everywhere now. I'd better get all of my window-washing and concrete-cleaning done this weekend before there's a ban on using water for those jobs.

Good morning everyone; It's a miserable day here today, 51F with rain & wind. Enjoy the day everyone.

I lived in Northwest Indiana most of my life. I remember a colony near the Illinois / Indiana border. A short distance west of Roselawn, IN it was a 45 min drive south from home. I got my first car age 16 back in 1973. I went there with 2 friends. We were not allowed entry, too young. We were disappointed

It being a while back I don't know if you remember going to that one or not. It was in the town of Lake Village, IN

I'm pretty sure it was the Ponderosa Sun Club but I thought it was in French Lick Indiana. That's not what Google is telling me though. I think they had certain days or weekends open to the public and they had some kind of show or something. I remember the guys taking pictures. I still have some of the pictures somewhere around here.

Happy Thursday to you all!

Good Friday morning. More nice warmish weather and if we're lucky another day with no wind! Hope to get more planting done. I have a few early tomatoes to go in and all my peppers - maybe 25 or 30 of those. Hubby is tilling up where he wants to plant cucumbers and a few green beans. I cut off two heads of the most beautiful butter crunch lettuce yesterday! I'm looking forward to a nice salad for lunch today!

I'm taking in two more boxes of old paperbacks to the historical society today. Hopefully that's the last of them!

Good morning everyone.

We have an overcast sky right now but still not a drop of rain. It's getting serious! There's a fire not very far from here. No smoke yet, but it's coming, no doubt.

I woke up too late for Pilates so I'm enjoying a lazy morning with coffee.

Draclvr, that reminds me -- I have a box of books for our little local library. The women who run the place are always tut-tutting and fussing about my science fiction and fantasy books. They don't think it's literature and they refuse to put it on the shelves, but they will include them in their semi-annual book sale.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

LOL! Virtually ALL of my books are science fiction and fantasy! How snooty of them to not allow their patrons to read what they want to!

Sorry hagatha, I thought the rain would have reached you by now but it seems to be stuck in our mountains, it's been almost nonstop rain for a few days now, which we needed so much, as do you, sorry I can't send you some!!

Many of the local patrons here live in a golf community. Mansions on the ocean, that sort of thing. I guess they feel that sci-fi and fantasy are too lowbrow.

Well, I have a LOT of “literature” but I do enjoy plenty of other reading material that probably wouldn’t meet the ridiculous standards (?) that have been mentioned 🙄🙄🙄

Good afternoon everyone. I don't know that we'll ever get rid of our old books and paperbacks. The library doesn't have then on the shelves and so many are not digital. That's why we have dedicated as a library. We enjoy SciFi and fantasy too...life is like a box of chocolates when you meet with new folks.

Cinnamon Apple Cider is ready for the afternoon.

Have a wonderful day everyone wave

I was actually tempted to throw in my old Irvine Welsh books. Now some of those might have raised eyebrows. grin
