Good Friday morning. Brrrr....!! Not cold enough to turn on the furnace, but a high of 55, sunny and very windy. Makes for a morning made for WADDB! Yesterday was hot and muggy - what a weather change!

Just a run over to the neighboring town for some routine bloodwork today. Still need to get a shingles shot - maybe next week. Already have flu and COVID done for this year.

Good morning. A heavy fog rolled on from the water yesterday and it's still here. I was outside last night listening to the sea lions and it was quite eerie in the dark with the visibility so fogged.

Off to Pilates this morning.

Overcast and 50's here today.

It's been a year and a half since my brother passed and finally his partner has sent us a death certificate so we finally see a cause of death. He also informed us that we need to go deal with the bank accounts. I'm pretty sure he was just assuming or hoping that he could do that and we would never have to know anything about it. Apparently all 3 of us are beneficiaries. I am not so concerned about the money itself; I just do not like the way his partner handled things with us at all! Had to get this off my chest. Thank you!

Good Saturday morning. A little frost on the pumpkin this morning. Already on my 2nd cup of WADDB.

Oldbroad, I think it was pretty cruel of your brother's partner to wait a year and a half to provide you with any information about your brother's death. Since all three of you are on his accounts, all three of you will probably have to sign some paperwork to get the money out. The bank should provide you with everything you need. It's hard enough dealing with a death without all the extra BS. My DIL is now dealing with getting the accident report from the highway patrol so she can deal with the insurance fallout from the accident that killed her mom.

Time to tackle my floors again. How can 2 people and 1 cat get them so dirty!

Oldbroad, that's awful. Was the partner the executor of the will? What a nasty thing to do.

It was raining overnight and quite nippy this morning. Not much to do today. The stand came for my computer, so I'll put that together, and then set up my wireless headphones.

Happy Saturday! Thank you all. Hagatha, there was no will. I think the partner may have gotten his share of the savings account but the checking account needs a blood relative. My belief is that he may have thought he could get the whole savings by just saying he would forward on to us. I may be all wrong about this guy but if you had seen the emails back then, you would understand why I think he was trying to hide something, including just the death itself. At one point he wrote something like "do you think I'm being nefarious ?". I wanted to write back - YES, I do! But I didn't. Enough about this though.

It's in the 50's here but the sun has come out today. I do hope you all enjoy the day!

But whether you actually want the money or not, it is surely preferential for you to pursue your rightful claim to it - if only to prevent the nefarious partner even attempting to cheat you out of it ??

Yes, I'm sure we'll go to the bank to see what's what, Mad. We did, however, not pursue the work pension thing. I wrote asking them to send a check as we would not provide our bank info to someone we didn't know and they stopped sending us letters after that. I'm sure that was legit but my brother made me feel nervous about it. He had tried calling but was on hold so long he gave up.
