I'm having problems with the games I download from BigFish, and I'm just wondering if anyone else is having these problems. I tried the Hidden Expedition: Everest demo. When the demo was up, back at my desktop, I found my taskbar totally gone. No way to get it back, and the only way I could shut down to reboot was to manually do it. The taskbar was there after the reboot. I did this on my XP computer. SO I tried the game on my Vista computer and sure enough, when I went back to the desktop there was no taskbar. On the Abra Acadamy, when I got back to the desktop, my screen resolution was changed and would not change untill I rebooted. I'm not about to download another game from BigFish! Yes, I have written to them and they are so overloaded with emails that it will be awhile before they get back to me. And I bet that's really the truth, cuz I'm pretty disgruntled since this wonderful new formatting! Hmmmph! Okay, I ranted, I feel better and most important, I have little smile cuz I got to use the word "disgruntled"...what a silly word that is!

Thanks for the good wishes! I'm sure my computers will be just fine, as long as I don't download any more BigFish games! But I see there are other sites that GameBoomers go to, to get games, I guess I'll try out one of those! Or maybe I can just not be so antsy and wait for these games to come out on CD huh?

I received an email yesterday showing they fixed a lot of the problems people have been having. For others they suggested visiting BFG. If your email is listed I can forward the email to you Looney. Linda

I thought that I was the only one. I had the exact same problem as you did with the Everest demo. When I exited the demo, my task bar was gone. I also could only get it back by a reboot. Very interesting. "Q"

Mine disappeared with one of the new games but it came back as soon as my computer finished closing the game. It does seem to take an extra minute to close the games with the new game manager but I didn't have to reboot. Love, Linda

I notice a slight hesitation to shut down, but I haven't had any problems for quite awhile.
I hope that eventually ya'll will hear from them. Let us know.
