Can anyone help me I spent 3 days downloading cleopatra because my internet provider only allows me 425 MB a day. Finally got downloaded but now I can't get the serial code to activate the game. When I first tried I entered the code and it went through a phase of searching for server then came up with unable to communiate with server. Then it gives me an option of clicking on CQD - @ctiv to activate through http web browser. Then you call for the activation code and it says to copy paste to this exact address and activation will be completly atomatic. I don't know what it is meaning I've tried several things with no luck. Does it make any difference what kind of download you use bitTorrent or Ftp I don't understand these things. I hope someone can help me. Or else I just wasted $ 30.00

Shy, did you copy and paste the activation key? Also, have you contacted support from the website you downloaded from?

I didn't have any problem when I entered the code sent to me. I just entered it and it checked and the game went through quite fast.

Can you try entering the code again? Or mail them here.

Ana Where do I copy and paste the activation key. When it wouldn't accept the activation through the server and I clicked on the CQD - @ctiv it takes me to an internet explorer page with a bunch of numbers code etc. and it tells me to copy paste to this exact address. I don't know what it means.

No I havn't emailed support yet I thought I'd see if any one else was having the same problem as me. But I will email them now.

The link you gave for the difference between bittorrent and ftp won't take me anywhere.

I'm trying to remember the sequence.
You downloaded the game.
You click on the downloaded install file - Kheops CQDUK setup.
You click that file and it will install the game in your computer.
It will show a frame with 5 small white spaces where you enter the code sent to you by Kheops.
As soon as you enter that code, a few seconds or a minute and it will activate your game.

Is this what you did?

Mag that's exactly how it happened except when it was trying to activate it came up saying unable to communicate with server. So I went in an disabled my firewall to see if that made a difference but same thing.

Let me move us back to Hints forum.

The code that you got, was that sent to you by Kheops?
Did you copy-paste it to that 5 frames?
Are there 5 numbers per set?

Yes it was sent to me by Kheops but I didn't copy paste I had written It down and I typed it in the 5 boxes.

Do this - mail them using the address I posted above. Fill that page and see.
Also try again tonight and also tomorrow. Your server might be blocking you too.

Meanwhile, I will sent a mail to the CEO/managing director of Kheops and see. It might take time since he's very busy.

Also I tried I don't have the activation code please send them to me and it atomatically put the code in the boxes and tried to reactivate but same thing happened it said unable to communicate with server, then wants me to try to activate through http browser. Oh and yes there was 5 numbers per box.

I emailed them already but if my server is blocking them what then. Could this be the same problem I was having with Evidence the Last Ritual and Not Receiving the Emails through the game.

This is beginning to sound like your computers security system might be blocking this or your own server might be the culprit. Not Kheops server. Please try to contact your server too and check how your security system is setup in your computer or browser.

Just reading this..

I had a window come up from McAfee saying to check to allow or block information from going out from the server...
So I had to click on allow..

Hope you get it working

Thats the same as I did ShyTy and it went through. I think It's case sentavie.

I have McAfee and it did ask me if I wanted to allow it to access the internet and I said allow but it still didn't connect to the server I just uninstalled the game and tried to copy paste the code from my email but it still said unable to communicate with server.

Ah. so McAfee might be the culprit.
Can you disable McAfee and then go through the code process and see.

I Went into msconfic and unchecked everything I could see that looked like McAfee and tried to reactivate the code didn't work do you think I need to uninstall and reinstall with the McAfee off. Then try to activate.

Please post at Glitches Forum. I think the tech experts can help you better and can confirm if it is the antivirus that's stopping you from downloading.
They can also advise you on what to do.
My knowledge of this is basic only.
I hope that we can get you going. It's a very nice game.

Sorry I haven't replyed sooner just got off work. But I don't have good news. I still can't get the activation code to work. Who is Benoit? I heard from support and they said it sounded like my firewall also. I uninstalled McAfee and disabled security center through computer and also disabled onboard firewall I must be missing something. I have just posted in glitches so we'll see if that helps in any way. I chatted with my internet service provider last night and they said they don't block anything. I don't understand why I have such problems just to play games.
