Someone please send out a search party. I'm horribly lost in the tunnels in Chapter 1. I need to open a wooden door that's locked and I can't find a key anywhere.
I seriously doubt that even the odd "people" I've run into want to exchange a key for anything in my inventory.
I'm just plain stuck stuck stuck.

If you're talking about the locked door beside Arach, you have to give Arach what he wants first and he'll give you a gift you can use for the locked door. Gift for a gift. smile

Ah.....he tore his finger off and gave it to me! Never thought about using that as a key.

It's Alice through the Looking Glass here.
Or is it Briggs that through the Glass at you he'll peer?
Look to the "epic" to sort you out.
Read it by stanza only should you be in doubt.

Someone please tell me what I'm missing here. I'm in Darkmere and have found lots of stone people. I finally found a key to the Inn of Sin and I can enter. It's a big empty Inn though. The only hotspot I find sends me out the doors again.
I've walked around and jumped from place to place, most doors are locked.

If you go to the bar there is a hotspot about a monitor inch off the floor on the corner of the bar. The hand will turn into a down pointing curser. Click when it turns down.

What are stone people?

Sue, the place to find the hostpsot here is very badly placed.
Please check the picture at the walkthrough since describing it is a bit vague.
I'll try :
Go behind the bar.
Go to the rightmost side behind the bar.
Move your cursor at the right side bottom close to the side of the bat wall until you get the cursor to point down. Then click. luck

Thanks ladies, I'll go back and try again but have been trying to move forward in this part of the game for two days now.
I'm either going to start smoking again or hurt Briggs when he taps on my monitor next!
The people that have lost their souls Ana..the ones on the ground. They look like stone people to me.

Sue devilchili

Edit:

Hot dawg! Finally moving forward again. The trick for me was to have him walking behind the bar and clicking that same hotspot again. Yippee!

Also lost in Limbo. I have been following the walkthrough. Left the Pie Shoppe, went to Dead End, then Abbatoir and now am supposed to go to Darkmere Prison which I can't find. So I went to Onegus' Pawn Shoppe, left and have been hit with a snowball. Then took and read note. Where is Town Hall? I keep trying to find it in Town Square, but have no archway at left of screen to get to the Mayor's office.

I've been at this for hours. Can someone please help me?

Teddo are you using the ingame map to help you go from one place to the other?

Sue, Do you mean the page with various ovals on it that are labled? If so, yes. There is a place called "Town Square" which I've been using to get to the Town Hall, otherwise, there's just the various shops.

I have a map also in inventory given to me by the Mayor, but I can't get a closer look at it when I "see" in from inventory.

Teddo

Edit:BTW, I've also started the Darkmere chapter three times and end up in the same quandry.

Teddo, on that map, did you tried to go up and left to find Town Hall? You may have to push the lantern to the left a bit.

Good luck.

Teddo,

Chief is correct. Move your cursor to top of page and see more of the map. You also need to do it right and left to see the complete map.

Teddo Chief is correct, you are not seeing the entire map.........push it up, to the left and right. On the far left at the bottom corner is the Bric a Brac Shoppe, above that is an another oval and above that is Town Hall. To the right of the Reistrar is the prison.

Thank you, Chief, Mag and Texaslady --- I had moved the lantern to each side, and neglected to move it up screen. I am now back on track and am a very happy adventurer. I like this game and can't believe I neglected to see such an obvious thing. These creatures are fun, aren't they?

Thank you, all of you, for your help. Love, Teddo
