Going to have a go. Nice to play a undead character i guess. Cant die then can we lol. -- Update! Had a go of the demo, its rather nice, but it has some awful cutscene things like the sky cabin when u switch from the control building to the station. Also a few phrases arnt spoken in voice just subtitled which was disapointing. Also it seems your gona be alone alot of the time in the game which im not a great fan of (get enough of that in real life lol). Its gfx are nice, the voices are good although the boss sounds not so good voice acting wise. The sounds and enviroments are ok, it seems there will be alot of control panel puzzles which im not fond of, the musics nice. Its first person mode which actually isnt too bad considering im not a fan of first person adv games. So judging purely from what ive experianced in the demo id give it a 7 out of 10 or somit.

Skeeter26: actually there are only 4 machine puzzles in the whole game and you get to meet regulary with 6 NPC's so you are not THAT alone. The subtitled phrases must be a demo problem as I had to separate the demo from the full game and must have missed these. Any examples so I could correct them? It's a pitty you didn't like the cutscenes. It's obviously a love or hate thing as we sometimes receive even some nice comments about them. I guess majority of players like nowadays the expensive FMV cutscenes and we'll think about it in our next production if we start with bigger than 0 budget.

You dont need expensive fmv, you just need a bit more clear cutscenes, as they were just weirdly telling me what was happening thats all and maybe a slight change of the quick draw type cutscenes. Black and white works as i loved homeworld type cutscenes so the b&w part was ok. I mean i thought when i first looked at the first one it was gona be cool but i guess i felt them lacking in event telling and with them being stills but transitions. I supose your right about the love or hate thing, its like marmine isnt it lol ppl love it i dont lol. Well you cant win em all so just be proud of what you did. If sales go well thats the main thing then you can always do better ones next time with the extra cash if you get it. The demo sounds that were missing were if i recall some of the things when u used ur powers on things in the demo but didnt work, i thought initially that you spared some voice over work only for the important events and skiped the non important ones, if its all voiced then ill try spotting them if i get the chance to go on the demo again. Btw i feel i must ask, why is the sheet preventing you from going through things as i got a message saying a few times (i dont wana get it dirty or i dont want to get ir ripped or something i think when i tryed clicking something on the caged door thing in the demo) i thought he was a spectre so was without substance. -- Edit - I must ask why you killed that poor man in the shaft i was helping up. After all that talkin to him etc and you tell him ur a ghost you he then ends up letting go of you and he falls to his death. Shame on you hehe. (btw how could someone touch a ghost?) -- Update 2. The voice doesnt play for things like "im not able to" for example when using PUSH ability on the ceiling thing where the brick/diary room is in the demo. And other things in the game where you try using the abilitys but are told (not voiced told tho that you cant do it). I mention this as you wanted to know where its not saying the voice overs. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the voiceovers feedback. I genuinely forgot that you could fiddle with other skills in demo. Btw i feel i must ask, why is the sheet preventing you from going through things as i got a message saying a few times (i dont wana get it dirty or i dont want to get ir ripped or something i think when i tryed clicking something on the caged door thing in the demo) i thought he was a spectre so was without substance. \:p You didn't watch the intro, did you? And this will be also revealed in bigger depth in the game. I must ask why you killed that poor man in the shaft i was helping up. After all that talkin to him etc and you tell him ur a ghost you he then ends up letting go of you and he falls to his death. Shame on you hehe. \:\) (btw how could someone touch a ghost?) If you listened carefully, he's not touching him. He's lifting him up with Telekinesis. Man gets scared of the ghost twitched and falled down. But that's not the end of the story.

I think you got it wrong. Imagine being a fresh ghost. You struggle with telekinesis to lift a mere pencil. You're glad you can take a good grip of a crowbar, when suddenly you stand in front of a task to rescue a human being (much heavier), stuck in the hole. Try to move a simple pencil with telekinesis you can't even get a grip of it. And our ghost lifts someone who in the process start to twitch terribly because he's scared. Ghost simply looses his grip and the person falls down.

I've played the demo and enjoyed it. There's something about it that makes me want to play more. I will order it once my pile of games to play will go down a bit. I have a question regarding the name of the game. Sorry if this has already been asked. I read a review ( http://www.eblong.com/zarf/gamerev/gitsheet.html) that complained about the pun in the title, and it made me curious of it's origin.

well, I don't actually understand what's so strange about it. The game is about a ghost who has been wrapped into the sheet so he technically IS ghost in the sheet, isn't he? I'd like to hear an opinion of native speakers here.

I didn't see anything odd about calling our hero "Ghost in the Sheet." (Um, with all due respect to the reviewer, Andrew Plotkin, whom I happen to admire, I think calling the ghost "Casper" would have been a really bad idea.) Was there a pun I missed?

MaG: thank you! My language ignorance told me, that Ghost in a Sheet would have been just a ghost wrapped in some sheet while Ghost in the Sheet is a ghost wrapped in THAT terrible, obstructive sheet (this gets a meaning at the very end of the game). That's a problem of us non-native speakers. I wonder why my proofreader didn't catch this though, I paid quite some money for proofreading.
