I got this game when it first came out and could never get past the laser puzzle. Well over the years my puzzling ability has improved and I was enjoying the challenge very much.

Got as far as the 5th floor and along the ramps and couldn't proceed any further, eventually read MaGs WT. and did the deleting of games. Tried 3 times, deleting them right back to the water garden, no portal. Is that it for me, or is there a patch or a saved game?

The saved game here is very picky but if you do it slowly, it will work.

Since I had tried 3 times by erasing saved games right back to the water garden I used your saved game.

Seemed to go ok, slot 55 was in the folder, did copy and paste into 101, did the telescopes and went up the ramp through all the right side portals, but still, at the end of the ramp is just a mauve coloured door not a portal, am I missing something, is this door supposed to open, or is my game just borked?

With the saved game I sent you, all you do is walkthe ramp; the telescopes should be set already.
At the end of the ramp, move closer and click on the door to see if it opens.

Haha, I have no idea why but this time as I approached the door it opened, phew! Thank you so much MaG:)
