When I buy a hidden object game, one of things that makes it a keeper or not, is the mini games. If there is no good "intermission" even the best hidden object game gets monotonous.

My favorites are jigsaw like puzzles and find a bunch of the same item in a picture.

My least favorite is matching games.

The mini games I've enjoyed the most so far are the type of puzzles (not sure how you describe them) in Ravenshearst & Madame Fate. But there were one or two in Madame Fate I didn't like so much so it was good to be able to bypass them. I don't mind spot the difference but find matching games, jigsaws etc tedious after they been repeated a few times! smile

Madame fate was full of mini games. I liked those that you must find a lot of same objects in the same picture and i liked the one which you must form different words from some letters. smile

My favorite would be the puzzle rooms where you have to solve a puzzle (like the last 2 MCF games and in Azada) to progress to the next level. A nice treat in-between the hidden objects rooms.

I like the games that feature puzzles that you've never seen before as in MCF, Azada and Hidden Treasures-Nightmare.
Like Ana, I also like finding 20 of the same type of item throughout a scene.

I don't really care much for jigsaw puzzles, matching games and forming shapes out of matchsticks. The ones that I dislike the most are the ones in which you have to spot the differences, it seems that is a recurrent mini-game amongst the hidden object genre.

I also agree with Ana that even the best hidden object games without mini-games in between can become boring after a while.

I loved the games where you had to unlock the doors in Ravenhearst. They were like those Rube Goldberg cartoons.

Love the variety of the other puzzles in Ravenshearst and Madame Fate. I loved the doors in Ravenshearst too and just loved Fate all the way around. Big City Sydney has some new things too I am enjoying. But trying to match those pelicans or whatever those birds are, is really something! That's not a favorite of mine either. When the Hidden Objects first came out, I wanted all of them. Now I am pickier about what I buy and only buy them if there is some variety of mini games. These kinds of puzzles/games remind me of "Highlights" the magazine for kids, which is great because of the variety of things for kids to do.
