Richard,

I just downloaded the game. I don't know when I can get to it yet. There is a clue on the demo thread about the musicbox. Does that not help?

I'm stuck there, too. When he asked for the daughter's birthdate, I thought surely that was it....but no go.

Is the chinese box the one that's got the cigar in it? I opened it if thats the one. I didn't find any use for the cigar. I entered the birthday in the music box to but didn't work.

Edit: Oh. I just saw your edit. Sorry.

Okay. That took some time to get to that point.

From the letter of the father to Carmen: There are 3 important time in the father's life - England, back to Toledo/Carmen and Different Sun.
It is not Carmen's b-day.
Check Different Sun founding: 14 years before this Easter.
After talking to Francisco, talk to Carmen. She will say the priest wants to talk to Hunt.
Go church. Learn when Easter is calculated by the church.
Calculate the date of Easter using the calendar in police station.
The day of the week is in the Almanac in the book in Francisco's room at his home.

If you want the exact date - please post.
Now I will sleep Good night.

Date: The priest stated that Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon or following the Spring Equinox.
You can check the Spring equinox in a book in the father's bedroom - the one beside his bed, top shelf. OR like me, I checked the full moon in the moon calendar in the police station.
The priest stated it is between March 22 and April 15th.

Click to reveal..
The first Sunday after the full moon in thecalendar is March 30, 1903. So 14 yrs earlier we get March 30, 1889.

Now for the day of the week: Go to the almanac book below the window at Francisco's bedroom.
Follow the graph shown for the year 1889. Left column-page - select 89. Move across to the graph on right page and find the row under the column 3 (March).
See that the number is 30.
Add 5 to that and get 35.
Now you find which day of the week on the top right page frame.

Click to reveal..
35 is Saturday.

So enter 1889 Mar 30 Sat
.

Went in the dark room and openend the trap door and went down in the sewer (another maze) got lost. Finally made my way out. Nothing down there I could do. The music box has another puzzle.
Any help MaG, your sure doing a lot better than me. Hate any hard puzzles.

Richard, about the third code of the music box, write down the letters of each of the three small wheels to realise that there is only two possible combinations of three letter.
Then try all numbers found in the bible page of these two combinations.
Not to long to do.

Not very scientific but got it open.

And thanks about the trap door. Had not see that.

Thanks, Chief.

Richard, I played that part until opening of the music box third part.

Talk to Carmen after seeing the third lock of the music box. She talks about the passage said by the priest at funeral and about El Greco.
Talk to priest at church. He gives bible.
Go back to father's bedroom. Look at the 3 unfinished picture of beside the easel.
Go to bookcase top shelf and look at El Greco's paintings. The last painting is the one that is unfinished - The Fifth Seal.
Open the bible and read it on where they are marked.
The last one is the Book of Revelations. The bottom left passage mentions 'fifth seal'.
Click to reveal..
Book of revelation, passage 06:09. Enter REV0609.

Thanks, guys. I've gotten as far as opening the rest of the music box and have the weird key. I've been in the sewers and looked at the locked gate and the garden with the bird up above; told the guy at the pawnshop that I'd buy the sword from him - don't know if that was good or bad; now I don't know what to do. I did get the developing solutions ready for when I use the camera, but I don't know when or where to use it. Nobody's talking to me. I have the feeling I'm supposed to do something else in the painter's room area.

Any ideas?

Did you combine the two keys to make one to fit the iron door in the church. I can't open the iron door until the priest leaves.

Melia, did you start installing the camera at the Candelas home in Francesco's room? Remember the close blind at the pawnshop..........

Richard,
It doesn't matter with the sword. Hunt will string the antique dealer on.
The priest can be tricked into leaving. If you have talked to him completely before remember he said that he's waiting for a call from his sick friend in Madrid. Talk to Domingo only after you have finished the developing the picture.

Melia -
You are at the point that you can do several things.
You can walk the sewer maze using the clues from the book. Or do what Chief stated - take the picture of the opened window across Francisco's room.

I've already walked the maze. Looks like I'm going to try combining keys and do something with the camera. I tried messing with it in the painter's dark room, but nothing happened. I didn't think of trying it in Domingo's room. Thanks, guys, I'm off!
