There is no glitch. I'm just freaking out about having a well made game that is encouraging me to play on my own, no walkthrough. Not used to that with some recent games. Just need to go slower and trust the game to do what it's supposed to do, scare the #*%&$! out of me.
It's very good at that.

There is a patch for this game? I must have missed it. Do you happen to have a link or direct me to were I might get it because I can't locate it.

Install an updater/patch from here: http://www.thelostcrown.co.uk or here.
MaG's post. I asked what the patch was for but she was offline and couldn't reply. It didn't matter, the patch didn't cause this to happen as it happened before the patch. It will be located all the way at the bottom of the page.

Updater 1.0 to 1.1 Release
This installer will update your game from version 1.0 to version 1.1.
Updated: Game files updated to fix an inventory issue, encountered by some gamers, as well as some graphical issues, also encountered by some gamers.

I've already given you the workaround for increasing your saves -in another thread - I now have amassed over 26 saves, even though I'm only on day 2.

If you are at the Celtic Corner shop and don't see a cursor after you have spoken with the shopkeeper try moving the mouse across the screen to see if you have a little tiny circle. If you do then click on the shopkeeper again. When the dialogue tree comes up remember to click on the last phrase which is usually something to the effect of "I'll let you get on then".
The cursor should return.

PS The patch will not affect previous saves.

Thank you Inferno, I just replayed the whole thing because this game is excellent and while ticked yesterday, I could not resist getting back into it. I just save more frequently. Otherwise, the game plays with no problems at all. I need to take my saved games from the save slots and put them on a jump drive to save or if I can locate what you said to do, I can do that. I hate overwriting, it's just that I got so involved I couldn't stop playing! Where can I find your method of amassing saves?

Thank you for that valuable info, Inferno. I had no idea about increasing save slot that way! I would just copy them to a jump drive.

Copying them into a jump drive is fine if that is what you wish to do. This is what I do for all my games that have a limited save function.

I simply go into the Games "save" folder whether that be in My Documents or not. Ex for The Lost Crown is as follows:

Go to My Documents --> The Lost Crown --> Right Click --> New Folder --> rename the folder "SAVES_TLC1" --> Copy the 8 saves into this folder. Then Create a new folder and name it "SAVES_TLC2" --- it will save time later. Continue with the game and save as you like over the 8 previous saves. When you reach 8 again, simply copy these into the SAVES_TLC2 folder and then create a new folder "SAVES_TLC3" and so on. the amount of saves are endless. Now -- because I am such a control freak I also add a .TXT file (from notepad) within each "SAVES" folder explaining just what those 8 saves were, this way it is very easy for me to find what I want or need to replay.

There's no glitch. You're playing the game without the walkthrough, with Lucy at a critical place (about the cats) DO NOT rush using the walkie talkie!! Wait for Lucy!

Sounds like it needs another patch.

A good idea for the walkie talkie is to only use to answer Lucy. Let her use it first.

That is a known glitch and Jonathan fixed it in the patch. There are more than one walkie talkie glitch fixed than in this location.

It's just me rushing through things. I replayed that part and this time didn't panic, but waited and Lucy called Nigel. The part played perfectly.

I saw it as a glitch at first because I tried to click on the walkie talkie too fast instead of letting Lucy contact Nigel first. That caused the patch not to work and I got the pinnacles for my trouble.
