I just hate to use walkthroughs but do need a hint. I talked to Bess and have the name of the shoemaker. But I can't figure out the correlation between that and the order of the dolls. What am I looking for on these dolls? Sometimes it's right under my nose and I don't see it. Thanks for your help!

I haven't played this but I'm taking a look at the WT. It is a multi-step puzzle. Are you in the Lounge car? Have you read Jake's letter? Have you taken a picture recently and sent it to anyone? Do you like to dance?

If you need more direction, just post luck

Yeah, I read the letter, did the dance (which was what opened up the shelf of dolls), sent the picture. I am assuming that the name of the shoe maker which was sent to me after I sent the photo of the shoes is the big hint for the dolls. Maybe I just need to sit and ruminate for awhile! Thanks...

Identify ALL the dolls. There are clues everywhere. Find out the names of the dolls, the descriptions of the dolls.

Then use the name of the shoemaker to arrange them.
---- First letter of the names.

I cannot figure out what the code is for the 4-number pipe puzzle. The walk-through shows a colored-coded pipe but no clue as to how to open the vent so I am assuming this 4-number pipe thing is the same as the colored pipes? I have solved the dolls, gotten 4 of the gems, opened the stove, got the map, -- but I cannot figure out the numbers for the pipe vent and haven't seen anything yet that might be a clue. Help! Thank you!

Aggiemom,

Please use one thread per game. I combined your 2 threads together. You can find your postings at My Place on top of the page.

As for the pipe puzzle - which one is this? There are several pipe puzzles that you arrange to connect all of them.
Which one is 4 number one? Which car?

I apologize. I forgot I had sent in the first question (and I did get the dolls in order). The vent/grate I'm referring to is in the sleeping car opposite the "quiet" sign. It has 4 fan-like symbols on the outside and underneath are 4 numbers I have to figure out. I've completed 2 others so far. I'm playing the senior level if that makes any difference.

Ah - that one. The clue to that is 2 step: one is the sampler and the other are the symbols in Camille's crypt.
I don't know if you've down there yet.

I figured it had something to do with the sampler but don't know anything about Camille's crypt thus far (it's in the train??). We are still rolling along. I'll take my train stroll again this morning and see if I don't discover something new....thanks!

The crypt is when you stop at the town. So you do have lots to check yet. Have fun hunting.
