Just finished this much anticipated game and have mixed feelings. This character moved as fast as a geriatric snail and I felt like prodding him with something sharp and pointy, but then I looked at my clock and it was 5AM. It was certainly atmospheric and I couldn't stop until the end BUT he was called "lad" and said he was 30. I actually laughed at that. The puzzles could sometimes be completed by accident and being a nearly a fen girl(over 30) myself the geography and accents were unconvincing. Am I just being pedantic? and does anyone agree or seriously disagree with any or all of this?

Yes you are right about the geography, Saxon is here in southeast Cornwall and down here you are a lad if you are male and the person talking to you is 30 years older that you. See the lost Crown web site for details of exactly where the photo's were taken. I loved the game and had no problem with him being slow moving, we don't rush around down here we take our time and smell the roses ( well, more the water, the seaweed and fish.)
Has any one seen any little gray cells around as I think I've lost some? Reward for finder.

I wouldn't want to smell the water, the seaweed and the fish. Would make me sick.

Hello, all! I think I need to play 'Lost Crown' again. First time through, I found this game just didn't do it for me. I think I might have to replay to see what I missed...
Woohoo and booyah! Have an easy peasy day!

It certainly is more picturesque than the fens. Miles and miles of black soil and it smells of pigs in places (makes fish smell like perfume!)

cris53, as I was once an RAF wife I have lived in many parts of the UK one of which was a small village near East Dereham. I well remember taking the children to your amazing beachs. Wonderful and empty because people did not bother to walk a mile from the carpark. Also driving along very flat roads and being able to see for miles and miles with windmills in the distance. And yes I remember the farmers spraying the fields with something that smelt very nasty GBC if you ever come to the UK make a point of coming to Cornwall as it has so much to offer from history,to wonderful countryside and for relaxing. Just be careful if you are offered scrumpy

Does anybody know where you can download a Demo of The Lost Crown?

Our investigative expert (Chief) has not found a demo for The Lost Crown -- I know because one doesn't appear here, where links to trailers and demos for recent games or upcoming releases are posted. If he hasn't found one, then it probably hasn't been released yet.

I haven't played the game but I have read that as for the movement of the heroe it's slow bacause it has to be slow, it's part of his role and the general atmosphere around...

I agree with you about the movement, and what irritates me is that there's no way of skipping dialogs, you just have to wait until everything's been said and they talk so slowly. Still haven't finished it. I don't really like it, but maybe I will change my opinion at the end of the game 'cause everyone seems to like it very much

I'm curious... why did Jonathan include these idiosyncracies/ quirkiness in this game? It seems like deliberate design. My theory was he wanted an Independent Developer feel for the game - a sort of Night Shyamalan signature (Night's movies have certain common elements with each other. For example, he makes a cameo appearance in each movie. Jonathan does the voice over for at least one character in each game).
Notice how each game has little reminders or connections with an earlier game? Playing his games successively is like watching a TV series.

Are there any gruesome parts or is it more ghostly, don't like gory. Thanks

For the most part it is not gory, but there is a part that involves animals that is pretty sickening, even though it does not last long. Ana

Hi anne2, There's only one unsettling scene with a bit of gore, close your eyes and it's gone in a few seconds. Other than that, it's just spooky all the way.

Dear Becky,
Thanks for your reply and the link. I now know where to go for the latest trailers and demo's. This just gets better and better! I do like to try out the games first before I buy them as I am very selective and only like to play the very best. Also we all have to manage our hard earned dollars.
Best Wishes Raymond
