Kathy, You will know if you are having a good day or a bad day. Check your horoscope at bottom left of the inventory screen. Then follow the clues in the wt depending your good or bad day. No need to do both. Just what pertains to your day.

Having trouble with the globe game. Everytime I put in a new name the light goes out on the one I already did. I did it over about ten times. What am I doing wrong. Kathy
-------- Also thanks for the good and bad day information

If the letter has been used before on a previously done constellation - you cannot use it anymore and might be ther reason the lights go off. It might have negated the previous constellation. So when doing the next constellation and you see a pressed letter already - skip it. It might be best to follow the walkthrough on this part and you can read what letters you need to press.

Hi Kathy,
Some of the letters on the wheel are very similar, with an accent or a bar, for example. Make sure that you are matching the letters exactly.

Hello, I'm with the Apollo's Chariot trying to go up the Lighthouse of Alexandria. And it's a bad day. So placed 6 weights and 3 sandbags on the chariot. Took the rope, placed 10 weights in the counterweight box and untied the rope. Enter the chariot and took off the weights and the bags. I should go up but do not. Maybe I'm playing this wrongly or I gained some weight???? If you have a save game, I'll take it, but playing the game in French. Thanks for the help. Chief

Hi Chief, I'm at the exact same spot in the game as you are. I got as far as fiddling with the weights and gave up in disgust. Looking at MaG's walkthrough you seem to be doing everything in the correct sequence, so I don't know why it isn't working for you. Hopefully someone who has passed this scene will be able to help you better. I'll catch up with you in a little while! Edit: Are you sure you're having a bad day? Might be worth double checking this. Did you pick up the chainmail near where you entered?

Rushes, I just recheck and it is indeed a bad day. And I also have the chainmail. I guess I will have the retry or wait for a save. One of those days, gamewise of course. Chief

Chief, Double check that counterweight - might be missing a weight or you might have more weights in the chariot. My problem here was being on the chariot. I can't position myself on it.

Chief, I just played through this, and didn't have any problems. I was also having a Bad Day. Did Thomas mention the fact that the counterweight and chariot appear to weigh the same? When removing the weights from the chariot, I removed the sandbags first, I'm not sure if that makes any difference. Would my English language save be compatible with your French? I can send it across to you to try.

Rushes, please send the save but not sure it will work. After diner, I will also retry your suggestion about the bags. And got the comments from Thomas. Thanks a million for your help. Chief

Rushes, as you said the save was not compatible. But, but, as it happens often, the phenomenon of the game that will go on after posting at the Hints Forum at GameBoomers still works. We should investigate this...... So, up I went and the game continues. Chief

Hi Kathy, I'm not MaG or TLC, but have you tried clicking the clepsydra over the disassemble icon in your inventory? I combined the new thread you made with your existing one. Please stay with your original thread so that we can follow your game progress.

The disassemble icon is one of the buttons decorated with a hieroglyph to the far right of your inventory. I think it's the one below your map icon. Move your cursor over each button and it will tell you what it is.

Hi Kathy, You need to go back outside to the two Egyptian statues that overlook the pyramid. You will be able to remove both vent covers there.
