They aren't very good at their jobs once you get stronger are they? I whooped three of them, then tattled to a guard. I did go talk to the guy in Ebonheart and found the travel lady, now I am back to my regular quests.

Indeed!
I have a quick question. Is there anything to be gained by clicking on "dispose of corpse" after you kill a beast and raid the body? I know for a fact that it definitely has an advantage with the Xbox version (and possibly with the PC version too), as it helps to remove the clutter from your cache, and should theoretically improve your loading times, and prevent the game from crashing when the clutter becomes too much. Incidentally, leaving them can't be all that bad,(in PC version) as I often used to leave a trail of bodies, Hansel & Gretel style, to mark the places where I'd been already!

Hi Well I installed Tribunal and Bloodmoon and the first time I stopped for a nap .... WHAM !! ASSASSINS !! Cheers. Mad Just a little anecdote you might enjoy: I had no idea this assasin's attack would take place so soon after installing Tribunal, and for some reason I must have felt tired after a bout of thievery, as I went to sleep with a lockpick in my hand. So when I was suddenly roused from my peaceful sleep by a loud "Wham!" and this weird guy (only one assassin) wacking away at me, not only did the real me jump through the roof in fright, but poor Outlander had such a fright that she started wildly attacking the trespasser with her lockpick. Unfortunately my assassin didn't have much of a sense of humour. If it had been me, I would have died laughing if someone tried to make a dent in my assassin's armour with a rusty lockpick

Hi I think I'm at about level 21 or so now .... in any case I was able to dispatch the assassins without a problem And believe me, I've found myself fighting with a lockpick on many occasions although I am trying hard to break the habit Cheers. Mad

Are you wearing the assassins armor Mad? I look soooo goofy in it, but what the heck, I am protected. I haven't tried to fight with a lockpick yet, but when I try to do magic, I am left with bare hands cause I am not quick enough. Boo Hiss!!

Hi hawkavonpuka .... I'm sticking with my nice green glass armour - I think it's got higher stats than the assassin armour .... I think .... better just go check !! As for magic, I've not done anything with "enchantment" yet but I manage to use scrolls, spells and magic items by R Clicking to pause the game whilst I get myself organised. Don't you do that ?? Draclvr .... Well done !! It's so great when you find you have reached another level !! Cheers. Mad

Question. In the options, there are quick-slots 1-10. But I can't find any way to use them. Do I get quick slots later or am I missing something?

F1 Draclvr, you can mess with them forever, I try to keep potions in there, but then Ii always forget what is there. A change of weapon is good too, in case your charge runs out of yours. Level seven already, I am still there, almost to an eight.
Mad what I meant was that when I use those items with R, I forget to press F to reload my weapon and end up punching instead of slashing.

Well update time - the past couple of days I've been fighting computers more than evil doers it seems Finally got back into the game yesterday and completed Morag Tong quests up to the point where I had to head off to train one of my puny skills to 80. While in Balmora getting more training and checking the progress on my new digs, I stopped in on Caius to see what if anything he had for me to do on the Main quest. Seems he did. I'm now in some 6th House hideout attempting to find and kill someone called Dagoth Gares (where did they come up with these names???)- this can't be good. Cave is full of red candles and dark slimy water yeowwww. Also lots of ash gouls, ash slaves and corprus stalkers are walking around taking pot shots at me. I think I just hit level 39 - or I will as soon as I can get out of this place and take a nap. That's about it from Madge and me - sounds like everyone else is moving right along also. Well back to the underground [shudder]

Just a quick note to all you guys who chose Light Armour to be your strongest armour skill: That green glass armour is by far the best armour in the entire game. Hang on to it if you got it already. It's pretty expensive too! Assasin's armour is good, but it doesn't beat the glass. Keep in mind that your proficiency in the use of a specific type of armour (Light, Medium or Heavy) acts as a multiplier to the effectiveness of, or level of protection that that specific type of armour will afford you. I always choose 'Light Armour' because unfortunately the weight of the armour you are wearing, gets added to the weight of the items that you are carrying. Usually, by the time I get to around level 50, my glass armour affords me a far greater level of protection than even Daedric armour does. Sure, the Daedric looks more scary though....

Hi I have green glass armour. I found it a while ago. Although I did have to die quite a few times before I found the right tactics that enabled me to snaffle it Looks splendid too, I think !! Cheers. Mad

Mad can you post it at Photobucket or someplace so I can see what you look like? I still have to reinstall Morrowind, my hard drive croaked on Friday morning, luckily I put my saves on a flash drive, sure wouldn't want to repeat all that again.

Cool Mad, I better get my game reinstalled pronto. You said you got that armour up at Ghostgate? In assassins I look like a bug-eyed black weirdo, but I am rather protected. To get a picture of yourself, you have to take a screenshot, Trail told me how to enable it, somewhere at the beginning of this thread or the last one. Then you paste it into Paint or something similiar, then post it on a photo site from your computer. Here I am in Orc armour minus the shield, it was taken some time ago. hawka

The glass armour is also my armour of choice. Shiny and impressive -- and practical, too. You will find bits of it all over the place eventually, but finding that first complete set is so much fun.
Later on you might find some bits and pieces of medium or heavy armour that you can't resist wearing, though. There's a Deadric helmet I'm particularly fond of just for the way it looks (SCARY), although I don't always find it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I have reinstalled and the saves from my flash drive are working fine, so I am back in business. Here are a couple of my new look, assassins armour, I used a cheat to change my hair and face, the five o'clock shadow on my character was getting to me. no helm and red hair with goggle eyed helm To Mad: I figured out how to do it, I guess Trails help is long gone from the forum. Anyway you go into Program Files for Bethesda/Morrowind then config files, scroll down to the screenshots, change the 0 to a 1 and scroll to the bottom and save the changes. I think you have to exit, then it will ask you. From there on, just use print screen and it will tell you it is saving it, from there, go back to program files and you will see the screen shots. Just copy them to My Documents or where you want, then go to your Photo storing place and download them there.

How do you get your character to face you? I using the WASD on my gamepad and the mouse for direction, but I'm always looking at my back.
Finally made level 8 and joined House Reordan.

Hi hawkavonpuka .... No, I didn't get my armour at Ghostgate - I haven't even been there yet I don't have a totally complete set, either - still short of some of the smaller bits - and what I have got, I got from a locked chest "somewhere". But I've forgotten where !! [As for your instructions on how to post piccies here, thank you very much but I might just save them for another day. Sounds like an awful lot of messin' about for a non-techie like me ] Trail_Mystic is still listed as a Mod. Maybe real life has taken over temporarily EDIT : Nope !! Here today - just not on this thread Draclvr .... Redoran is MY house too so I might see you in passing one of these days One person I doubt I'll EVER meet though is Syd. At level 39 she's definitely a looooong way ahead of me Cheers. Mad

Trails help was in the first Morrowind thread, I think, can't find it. It is easy Mad, just takes a couple of seconds. Since Morrowind saves the pictures to it's own folder, you can take as many as you like (it tells you it has done so), then you can go back later and look at them, rename them, I must get some fighting ones.
Draclvr, just hold the tab key down, your character will then turn to face you. You can even walk that way, but it is kind of strange feeling.
Must find glass armour, are you all colorful like the video you posted?

I watched it again, it said it was from Oblivion, which is next on my "to play" list. My grandsons were playing it when I returned them home, lot's of cool stuff in that game. He showed me how you can cast rage on others and make them fight one another. The tech guy that just repaired my computer said I should play Oblivion instead of Morrowind as it is much better, but I prefer to wait. The spear I am carrying is enchanted with something and it gives me night vision, kind of neat.
