Howdy gang! wave

I'm playing this and I just wonder if I'm the only one who notices some familiar voices? Sonia? Lorenzo? Kolio? Seems to me I've heard them before ... wink

Hi I was thinking about buying this game, The Bert Jamin WT sounds as if it is a bit tedious.
Back and forth to eat and answer the phone.
I would like your thoughts on it as I cant find a review for it.
Kind regards
Maggsie

Maggsie,
That break in the gameplay happened to me only 4 times. smile

Geo,
As I mentioned before - the game was released in several languages. That might have been the reason that they decided not to mistime the movement of the mouth to different words. smile

Maggsie Im playing this game and so far all it is,is interogating potential suspects. NOT ONE PUZZLE so far.If I wanted this sort of game I would have played Law&Order!

Mag: Its not like the lips match no matter the language.

Thanks for your thoughts Mag and Geo. Law and Order bored me silly, I only bought it for Jerry Orbach (Great guy) It looks like this game is the same.
Thanks again
Regards
Maggsie

Well, I think a couple of the voices sound alot like a couple of voices from the Syberias - Kate Walker and Oscar! Maybe I'm just wishful thinking? wink

Ya know, Geo, I have to mostly agree, it is an awful lot of interrogation! But I'm still enjoying the game alot!

Maggsie, I had a pretty good idea of what the game was going to be like so I'm not disappointed at all. It's been great fun being very detective-y without the puzzles being the main focus! I love puzzles, but this story is so darned interesting that I can't stop digging into it! grin Besides, I'm only in the middle of day two so who knows what's ahead?

And the meal interruptions? I had one on day one, and so far one on this day 2. If you ask me, the poor guy eats like a bird! lol

If you look in the credits of the game, there is a Sharon Mann. I looked her up and she also was in Syberia and Syberia 2.
Found it at Wikipedia. I'm sure the other actors are in other games too..I noticed Nancy Drews voice in The Hand of God a rpg but it was a very small part smile

I think Lorenzo's voice is oscar from syberia, and I think Kolio's is a voice from echo secrets of the lost cavern.
Sharon Mann ( kate walker ) is one of the female characters.
Also, Jack Norm ( david gasman ) is the voice of lucas kane from Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, and was also in syberia ( 1 and 2 I think) wave

The credits are Sharon Mann, David Gasman, Paul Bandey, Eddie Crew, Jodie Forrest, James Shuman, Doug Rand. As it happens, all of these actors were in Fahrenheit, and sharon mann played Carla Valenti.

Also, sharon mann was in egyptian prophecy, a great game from 1997 called Dark Earth, and Rama ( which I never played ) from 1996. She must be the most employed female game voice actor in the business!

maggsie, I have almost finished the game and have mixed feelings about it.

Very good story and the interruptions, even when they seem pointless, are not important at all if one is playing adventure mode, maybe they are in the timed mode.

The dialogues are a bit boring and the graphic representation of the people at that moment looks really bad to me, if they wanted to avoid lip coordination I think it would've been much better to use the images in full body rather than the almost expressionless faces that gives the game the appearance of "amateur" and spoils the very good graphics of everything else, especially when dialogues are so important.

At the beginning I found difficult to see what I was supposed to do with the clues database and the relation with the "mandates", maybe this was just me.
