Hi--I checked the profile1 folder, and it contains all the saved games including all the ones that I have put in there. I played a new game, and did what you told me to, and it is still not in the saved games. I checked all the gargoyles too. I am still baffled, as I have never had this problem with saved games before. Beverly

I'll send you another saved game with some instructions - see if this one works.
They can be arranged on date made in the load screen.

I followed your instructions to a "T"----------Now when I click on the Dracula icon on my desktop to play the game, a menu comes up saying it has encountered a problem. I clicked on the details and it says:
C:/DOCUME~1Beverly/LOCALS~1Temp/3d9f_appcompat.txt
Do you think I should uninstall the game, and reinstall and start the game over?

yes TLC I did I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to get the save to work...it didn't help

Is the save supposed to look like a winrar thingy? I'm thinking I clicked the always open with this button lol or maybe i'm just grasping at straws!

Bevlee: Try rebooting your computer, that can fix all manner of evils. If that doesn't work, try a reinstall as you suggest.

Katya, I'll resend the save to you, but zipped this time so that there's no chance of the file doing anything peculiar en route to you.

Well--wonders of wonders I am back playing the game. I uninstalled the game, and then reinstalled, I saved the game after talking to the innkeeper, and again after talking to Janos. I then went to my saved game folder and found that there were two saved games, and placed the saved game that MaG sent me right below them. When I went back to the game there it was in Load Game. Whew!! Thank you to all Gameboomers who tried to help me in this touchy situation. Beverly in Florida hoping to avoid Hurricane IKE---------------

well still not working... all that shows up is the save I did after reinstalling the game even after a reboot the rushes save doesn't show up in the games load menu so I'm at a loss i'm afraid...and when I remove my save and replace it with rushes the load option in the game menu is blacked out...

Katya, did you start a new game with the first profile gargoyle? Are you renumbering the save?

I used the first profile and I renamed the save Save.009 is that right?

According to what worked for TLC, renumber the save so that it appears last in your folder. So if your last numbered save is 004, then renumber the save I sent you to be 005. Then start up the game for the first profile and see if the save appears in the load screen.

I'm sorry but it's still not working only my save shows in the load screen it's Save.001 your save I renumbered to Save.009 so it's strange that it isn't working

This might have been asked before - ahve you checked other gargoyles or profiles to see if it is there?
Also check to see if it is arranged by dates - see if it might be one of those labeled 'prison'.

I have checked the other gargoyles and the only date that shows up is in the first gargoyle and it's my save at the inn after I reinstalled..sorry to be a pain but maybe it's just not going to work for me

I'm confused. You have a Save.001 of yours that shows up in the load screen? Is that the only save in the save folder? If yes, rename the save that Rushes sent you, to Save.002.

How many saves are in the folder? And what are they named now?

There are two in the Profile1 folder Save.009 and Save.001

Katya,

Rename the Save.009 to Save.002, see if that works. I believe they have to be in numerical order.

No need to send you the first 2 puzzle if you want the Japanese puzzle too. They're both done by then.

No, the opposite, I want to play the game, but was having difficulity with blood sweat and tears, and skull and hat, I looked ahead in the walkthrough and saw that I didnot like the Japanese puzzle. Therefore, i should have just asked for after the Japanese puzzle, which you did send the save for. Thanks for the save. It took me a day to figure out how to get the save to show up. I saw that others were having the same problems with the saved games sent to them.
I am glad that I am almost finished this game, but now I am stuck on trying to draw these signs on path 1-7. Please send me a save for after the drawings for path 1-7. I have tried to no avail.

Actually, the Japanese puzzle is easy since the answers are all in that puzzle's graphic. All you need to do is change the colors.

Anyhow, the saved game is sent.
