The Adventure Company is bringing one of our favorite HOG games to brick and mortar stores with the new boxed retail version of Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile.

Quote:
September 9, 2008. Toronto, Canada: The Adventure Company today announced the worldwide distribution of “Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile” for Windows®. With the continued success of the company’s Agatha Christie titles, the series starts again in a new genre!

For a look at the 4 1/2 star review at GameZebo Click Here.

Quote:
Experience a thrilling Hidden Object murder mystery game aboard a paddle steamer making its way down the Nile River. Assume the role of Hercule Poirot as you investigate a savage murder and find hidden clues, interrogate suspects, and much more in Agatha Christie's classic whodunit, Death on the Nile. Uncover clues and evidence tied directly to the story. When you have enough evidence, question the passengers in the salon and discover the identity of the real murderer!

Happy Gaming!

I don't believe that this Death On The Nile game is the Big Fish Hidden Object game by the same title. It seems like this title, Death On The Nile, is the new title for The ABC Murders (guessing from product description - "ABC Railway Guide")

Is this Agatha Christie: Death On The Nile an adventure game or a casual game?

Perhaps the professionals (Carla & Becky) would know. smile

mission, I am not Becky or Carla, but I do know that this is indeed the casual HOG that was released by BigFish and other casual portals earlier. wink

Hi Anna and Mission wave, I read both quotes and they sorta sound like 2 different games. One seems to be a discription of an hidden object which is Death on the Nile and the other sounds like the new Agatha Christie game ABC Murders that hasn't came out yet. Is there a mix up? The post that MIssion gave the title and discription don't fit together. It doesn't sound right smirk. But the one you posted Anna the title and discription does fit together.

Hi Trinny, I think Amazon got things mixed up and Ana is right.

http://www.amazon.com/Agatha-Christie-Th...7068&sr=1-3

The above link will show the Death On The Nile title and box art but with the ABC Murders product description.

So we will get to play the casual game first and the adventure game later lol

We discussed this Here. Amazon is just messed up and obviously have a million other items on their site so they haven't fixed it yet.

Great game for those who want the boxed version!

Has there been any talk of a 3rd Agatha Christie casual hidden object game?

I haven't seen a beta yet on one yet, but I am sure with the success of the first two and many titles of Agatha Christies to choose from, they will be making another.

I just got an e-mail from Amazon regarding the new Nancy Drew page, and when I clicked on it, there was also information regarding a new Agatha Christie game releasing October 13 and based on Death on the Nile. I don't remember seeing any info about that on GameBoomers (though I do recall something about The ABC Murders)--is this part of the previous series released by The Adventure Game Company? Let's hope there aren't any blasted white-outs!

I'm disappointed that it's just another hidden object game--who needs more of those? Do you now when the next adventure Agatha Christie game is scheduled to release?

Sorry you do not like HOG's, many of us here love them.

Please search ABC Murder in Discussions for the latest info on that game. I do not believe there is a firm date yet.

Oh, I love them! I just think there are too many mediocre ones out there. If they were all of the caliber of Madame Fate, I'd never leave the computer . . . and when it comes to games based on Agatha Christie, I'd rather have a story, inventory, puzzles to solve, characters to talk to, etc.
