I first played in in December and January. In Dunmore they have actual sounds of "spring peepers" which is our harbinger of spring here in Missouri. I would keep the game open with the peepers carrying on in their spring mating ritual even though it was FAR from happening for real!

JB, I'm sorry - it's been too long and I don't have an answer for you. Was hoping this situation would sound familiar to someone else. Or maybe we're just not understanding - could it be that the game is going back to a save point before the fight that means you would have to capture the fairies all over again?

Nickie, that's what I'm thinking. JB needs to save everytime he gets anything - a rune, a fairy - anything. That way, it's still there no matter whatever else happens.

Okay I couldn't resist and loaded the game in last night. Right now I'm running around the village with a green fairy trailing after me and have no clue what I'm supposed to do with her

Take the lovely little fairy to the little elf walking back and forth on the other side of the stream. Click to talk to him and select the option to train your fairy. Your opponent will not even fire on you, but you will level up your fairy quickly and get coins to boot. Have fun!

Wow..Syd? This is turning into a great party! Altho I gotta say, I'm stumped why no one picked my sweet little Tadanna! She is so sweet that I keep her the whole time and I don't even let her evolve up! (She loses that giggle when she evolves)

After you level up your fairy a little, try going to see the pixie hunter next. He's the one whose house you went to to get your fairy. The game will open up to you more and more as you progress into it and you'll know what to do next. And as always...we'll be here to help and to enjoy your travels with you.

I've reinstalled the game too, and am just starting out again (this will be the second time through for me). I haven't made much progress yet (work keeps interfering!), but I'll be following this thread. Syd, I'm glad you are giving it a go!
