I am at the very begining. I listened to the answering machine, came out and saw the piano. Thought I'd copy down the letters and play..Does anything happen if you get it right or is it just for fun? Or do you have to play the game in a certain way for things to happen. Very pretty looking game I hope its creepy smile

The piano is just a step to make you remember the tune and notes. Have fun now.
I might be the exception but I found this game very relaxing.

Hi, I think I need a little push. I've been upstairs. Turned the faucet on in the bathroom and got moved up, then back down. Clicked I think on everything clickable. Got 2 ugly Rats in my inventory I cant get rid of, I dont want to carry them around, yuck.So I put out the cat food..got matches, mp3 player. Cant light fire tho I have kindling and wood. Whats the first thing important that I need to do? Also been outside, saw the tree branches, saw a gravestone, but cant do anything..need a small push in the right direction to get going again. thank you smile

Mice - flush them down the bathroom off the kitchen.

First thing - light the fireplace. Go to the pantry off the unfinished dining room and you can find something to help light the fireplace.

Then open Malcolm's office (do everything there), bathroom upstairs and lastly enter Rhiannon's bedroom.

Ah. I'm really trying not to laugh. I'm sorry.

I used the translator. It is the easier way for me.

Earth, Water, Fire, Air
I bind your soul upon death
To roam this land without memory
Never to find your final resting place

After this it is non linear - work on tree branches or the slate seen later.

I'm sorry.
The other mail has the translator.

Key - this really threw me off. The key relates to something that is for Daddy and has the name Rhiannon... If you want a spoiler on this - I will be glad to tell you because it caused me grief.

I guess I read emails like I do in real life, just the ones I like best. Funny it was easier using it than what I did and less time consuming. smile Good thing I dont write walkthroughs smile

Does the key involve the MP3 player? I noticed it had the FleetWood Mac song on it. If not you can give me a spoiler.
Also thank you for your time in helping me I appreciate it smile

Oh you're so smart - yes that's the one - no spoiler needed. Check the other info of that muzak.
I appreciate that you really try to work on the game.

Hi Catsmom
Your post about using the ogam dictionary had me panicking to check the dictionary to make sure we hadn't made a mistake in the translation (I'm Karen by the way, a developer of Rhiannon). Thankfully it checks out ok. You were so close - only a few words out in a couple of lines which then made the rest not make any sense. I really appreciate that you had a go though as it is a tough puzzle and needs a lot of concentration. I wanted players to realise that they are really translating ogam (albeit a simplified dictionary for the game) but in the end we have to have a way of checking that you have done the puzzle - hence the need for the ogam program in the next email.

I hope you enjoy playing the rest of the game as much as we enjoyed making it. smile

Hi Kaz, you made a beautiful game. I really like it. Its a game that I will play over again and it will be one of my favorites just like Blackstone Chronicles.
AS for the puzzle I will go back and try it again and see where I went wrong. Maybe I just need glasses smile it was fun doing it the hard way smile Just dont hire me as your transcriber.

Now I am stuck. Got in the shed. Cut down the bushes and saw the car, read diary. Saw Rhiannons spirit asking about her kids.Collected 10 twigs. Saw some walls 1.2,3 and something is supposed to go on them. Also 2 items(looks like Holly and another twig) I cant pick up yet. And thats where I am stuck. Dont know what to do next.A gentle little push would be appreciated..Thank you smile

After you did the correct Ogam Translation - note what happened to the picture of the stone that is tacked on the board above the computer?
Do the same...

Hi all

Thanks very much for the welcome and your lovely comments about Rhiannon. It would be so easy for me to get sucked in to answering all the requests for hints about the game but MaG is doing such a great job and wrote a fantastic walkthrough so I must resist and let MaG continue while I get on with developing our next game. Thanks MaG, we really appreciate you taking the time to help the players out.

Hello again.. I need to find a cradle and a claw. Saw no claw on the bracelet in the car, think its under some floor boards, but I'm probably wrong and have no idea about a cradle.,I do have a crown, horse, sword, but I probably am doing it in the wrong order so nothing is happening correctly. Thanks again smile

Hiya,

Order does not matter.
Have you read a newspaper lately?
What happened to the claw is mentioned in the diary. Also the clue to the location of where it is, is also in the diary.
