What's wrong, what can't you do.

Edit:
Hmmmm, sorry, didn't read it right - not sure what you mean?
The one where Frank has to go down the stairs and get keys?

As soon as you get control again after Joe runs from door, click to get Frank go down the stairs (you have of course positioned him there, before having Joe climb out window).
Click on keys and as soon he takes it, click on stairs again and voila.

I know I was afraid about that part too, because I've read about it here, but I actually didn't rush... just did as I would normally have done smile

Apparently I'm the only one that can't get the save into the game. headscratch Right click I never get 'paste'. Only 'send to', 'cut', 'copy'. Tried all three. The 2 part save shows as in the game, but not there when I load. cry Tried to get keys on my own. Joe rings bell. Mom goes door. Frank (head of stairs) goes to get keys. I click keys. He walks over. If I click stairs before he takes keys, he doesn't take them -- gets caught. If I wait till he has them I can't click stairs till he'd done talking. He gets caught. mad I'd really rather ghet keys and back upstairs on my own, but since I can't get the save in the game... duh

1. Download what is sent to you to the desk top. If zipped - unzopped the folder. You shouls have 2 files. One picture and one tex file.
2. Now - open the The Adventure Company\The Hardy Boys - The Hidden Theft\data\SaveData folder.
3. Check what is the last number in that folder.
4. Renumber the 2 files on the desktop.
5. Now: you have the Save Data folder opened.
You have renumbered the 2 files.
Click-hold-drop one of the renumbered files inside the SaveData folder.
Do the same for the other renumbered file in the desktop and place it inside the Save Data folder.
6. Close ALL folders.
7. Play and load as usual. You should see the new saved game in the load screen. luck

Iola in Science lab: Did what I was supposed to and got blood type evidence. Next is mud on boots and mud sample. Already been told both muds came from same area. Supposed to talk to Iola again to get shoe size, but all I get is 'she doesn't want to talk right now'. Am I supposed to leave and come back? All the wt says is talk to Iola again. think headscratch

The mud sample and mud boots are labeled shoe size evidence in inventory.
If you got those - then you're done with that.

Hi, everyone!

I'm stuck and need a gentle push in the right direction. I've just fixed the air conditioning in the school, but can't think of anything to "search" on the computer (I tried the Spencers but came up empty). I can't return home because I'll get into trouble and nobody else has anything to say to me.

Thanks!

Susan

Susan,

You will need the computer search later after you have evidence to check.
I don't know what you have done but there are several things to do at the school. Have you met Iola at the small lawn just outside the computer room - go right.
Also you can go back to the mansion and search the different places-buildings.

Hi, MaG!

Yes, I've met Iola and solved her aspirin dilemma. I can only access two other rooms at the school (the computer lab and the utility room) I've searched the shed at the mansion but, other than breaking the lock on the tool box and picking up a glob of mud, there was nothing else to do. There are footprints leading up to the shed but, apparently, I don't have what I need to interact with them. I've been to Thomas & Mary's house and exhausted all conversation topics with them. Ditto for the Constable and Samuel. There are only two rooms inside the mansion that I can access (the one where Lily & Thomas were sitting and the office) and I can't find anything new to do in either of them. The desk drawers are locked and I don't have a key. I've also been to the police station but the Chief has nothing to say. I phoned everyone in my directory but, other than Nancy, nobody answers their phone.

Any suggestions?

Susan

Have you been to the nurses station yet?
Check the mansion map to see the path to go there.

Hi, MaG!

Thanks! The Nurse's Station shows up on my map, but it's not highlighted so I'm not able to go there yet. I guess I must be missing something.

Susie,

It will highlight only when you walk there. Once you've been there, it will be part of the jump to feature.
It is not mentioned by anyone so, you have to find it out yourself. Take the path in front of the car of Spencer. smile

Hi, MaG!

As is usually the case, after I posted my message, I discovered the path that leads to the Nurse's Station, so I was able to walk there, and it's now accessible on my map.

Thanks!

Susan

I am in the theater. Did the spooky music. Looked at castle backdrop. Went to stairs behind chairs. Am I supposed to climb stairs, here? Because I didn't see anything extended headscratch Also checked inventory. No gallery key. Where would I find it? think

The stairs is already extended.
Do the fuse box at bottom of the stairs first.
The gallery key is in the ticket office close to the entry door to the theatre.

Hi again, I received a saved game from TLC for the Hardy Boys game. Getting the motorcycle keys from Mom. I can't seem to be able to get past her. I guess I'm not putting the saved game in the right place. Thanks for anything you can tell me. Pam

Pam,

Please do not post on another game's thread. I separated and made you a new thread.
Use this thread for now on if you need help about Hardy Boys.
You can find all your posts at My Place at top of the page. Then My Posts. You can then find your thread and post there.

As for the saved game folder - you can find it at:
C:Program files\The Adventure Company\The Hardy Boys - The Hidden Theft\data\SaveData folder.
Download to desktop. Be sure to renumber them to be the last one in the folder.
Then place the renumbered ones inside the Save Data folder.
