I am using the WT by mac_attack. I have delivered the boots to the professor and went to talk to Mr. Egan about fixing my radiator. He wants me to fix the lights in the stairwell that leads down to the basement. The WT says to go back to the basement and head over to the circuit breaker. If I try going down the stair well on the 2nd floor, it's too dark and I have to turn around. If I try to go to the basement on the elevator, it gets stuck. I can take the elevator to the basement from the 1st floor. Once in the basement, I can't find the circuit breaker. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you for your help.

To the best of my memory, the circuit breaker is on a wall somewhere along the passageway that leads off from the basement.

Ok, thank you Rushes. I saw that passageway when I was in the basement. I will be able to find it now I think.

I am using the WT by mac_attack. I have taken care of the circuit breaker and haved bugged Mr. Egan again. He tells me to go to the Professor's room to find out what she wants for lunch. I am suppose to eventually have a menue to slide under the Professor's door but I don't know where to get a menu. Where do I get a menue? Thank you for your help.

It's in the drawer of your dresser in your room. Also check your inventory - it might be there already.

I am in the dungeon. I have solved the chain puzzle and now I am trying to solve the chess like puzzle. The WT says to try to get the different colored disks to their corresponding places. I'm not sure what to do here. I can place two of the peices close together but I can't get the third one close to its matching one. I'm completly lost on this. Can you please give me some direction as to how to solve this? Thank you for your help.

Hi Garfield,

This is a puzzle where you have to plan your moves in advance. A counter will move in one direction until it hits a wall or another counter. To move a counter to its correct box, try to place other counters in its path to form the best route, bearing in mind that those other counters will also eventually need to be moved to their own colour boxes.

Start with the most difficult counter route first, then gradually work through to the counters which do not require so many moves to reach their box.

Plan ahead and you'll be fine. luck Keep us posted.

Thank you Rushes. If I am understanding you right, I need to put the purple horse one in the same box with the other purple horse, etc. This helps a lot. I was trying to place the peices beside each other. I will let you know how I do.

Thank you Rushes. I finished the puzzle. It was a doozy! I had to really think about which one I should do first then the rest was easy, sort of.

Glad you worked it out, Garfield. bravo There's a similar puzzle in another ND game - Secret of the Old Clock.

Enjoy the rest of the game.

I have just put the battery back in the vid-cam in the professors room and watched the professor discovering the peep-holes. The WT says to exit the room turning right and follow the hall to the gallery. It says to look through the peep hole. Then it says to use the red medallion the peep-hole and look again. It says to repeat the process with the green and blue medallions. The problem is that I don't have a blue medallion. I read the WT again and it doesn't say anything about the blue medallion. Where do I find the blue medallion? Thank you for your help.

This is from Norma's wt -
Go back to the Basement and open Jacques locker. Look at the letter from his fiance', read the Diamond Chart and the Immigration letter, get the BLUE MEDALLION.

This is from mac attack's wt - I think this is the blue one.
Take the elevator to the basement and go to the locker room. Head over to Jacques’ locker (near the sauna) and open it. Look at the letter from his fiancée, the letter from the immigration department and the magazine about diamonds (huh?). Try to take the medallion in the locker, you’ll get BONKED on the head instead.

Thank you MAG. I remember getting bonked when I tried to get a medallion. I found out the blue medallion is under the pillow on the couch in the professors room. She must be the one that hit me on the head. Thanks again for your help.

I have been stuck here at the chess like puzzle for two days. Can anyone give step by step directions or maybe send me a save for this puzzle. It's the only one I haven't been able to figure out in this game. Thanks in advance. I also can't find a save game folder for this game. So help there please.

Here's a site that have saved games.

In XP, the saved game folder is the main on: Nancy Drew\Treasure in the Royal Tower\
There are only 7 game slots available.
Download the file you need (looks like #24) to desktop.
Check the number of that file (unzip it if required).
Take off your old saved game in the Tower folder and keep it in a safe place.
Then place the downloaded one of that number in its place.
Play-load as usual.

I downloaded the file, unzipped it and renumber it and it shows up in the main folder in Windows Explorer, but it does not show up in the game. Also there are only four saved games in this folder though in the game all seven have been used. What can I do to get this one to show up?

Double check your saved game location, it should be: C:\Nancy Drew\Treasure in the Royal Tower.

That's where they are, at least some of them. I have four listed in Explorer but there are seven that I can access in the game.
And the save game I need does not show up in the game.
