Hi,
Am replaying Curse of Monkey Island using ScummVM - Just Fantastic - what a difference - why can't the original game makers make it work as good first time around??

Anyway - I have come to the point of greasing the cannon balls in the theatre and whoa is me - whatever I do - there are NO CANNON BALLS - can anybody help?

I have tried all walk throughs and hints I can find for a clue but I have done them all - it is a glitch? Does anyone have a saved game?
Thanks any help appreciated - was really enjoying it until now.

Jada,

The game was made in 1997. The technology then is different and adjusting to different computers are difficult. Maybe that is why there are glitches in the original.

If I remember correctly, the chest that has the cannonballs is on another screen after getting off the stage. It is on the left close to the door (left of door).

I remember this too - the cannonballs are in the dressing room, as MaG says, to the left of the main door. luck

Yes - that's where the trunk is - I have gone back over all my saved games from this time around and there have never been any cannon balls on it....

Slappy's done his juggling and just rambles on, I can't seem to move Guy when he's on stage - he listens then walks off back to the backstage area.

I hope it isn't a glitch MaG the game just runs so well and am really enjoying it much better this time around.

Hopefully something will come up.
Cheers

Yes done that - have done everything - double and triple checked with WT's and hints.
I kept thinking that I have missed something silly but am just walking around in circles trying to find these cannon balls - the truck is still locked and that annoying Slappy won't get off the stage - he's already juggled and there are broken plates on the floor - still no cannon balls.
Thanks for helping.

Did you get the fleas and are you playing the easy mode ? Did you look at the labels on the trunk ? There'a an XP installer for the game also.

Fleas???
Do you mean the lice??
Yes did all the labels etc...
Yeap I got the CMI Launcher installed as well.
I downloaded a saved game that MaG referred me too and that works but not through ScummVM - it says its an invalid game even though its in the same file - so have to run through CMI Launcher - so far so good but ScummVM was better - much faster.
Cheers
