Can't believe I paid $43 Canadian funds for this piece of @$!*
They should have at least provided a bottle of pills with the game.
Maybe they should have spent a few bucks on beta testers.
Better still they should stop selling the game.
The developers should be sued for fraud.
Never again will I buy a game made by them.
Ask me if I'm frustrated and angry.
RAL evil and sick

I believe the developers of The Experiment are the same people who did the game "Missing," a game which people seemed to either love or hate; it would appear that they are trying to do things decidedly differently with their games. In your case, RAL, I would assume that it was a failed experiment. wink

I played Missing.
It was difficult but I did manage, as difficult as it was, to finish it.
But this game is just pure.......
Wish I had read a review first. Lesson learned is right!!

I'm impressed, RAL! I haven't played Missing myself, but I know that game is no walk in the park. thumbsup

I feel you pain RAL, I didn't like it either. I thought "oh, new, innovative approach to the game, COOL!" NOT. Nice rant, though. lol

I didn't played Missing but I did Evidence (follow up of missing) and The Experiment, I enjoyed them mainly as a new experience but I wouldn't play a sequel of any of them.

For me it was plenty of coffee to be super alert to beat the generals, not a pacifier.

RAL,
I too feel your pain because I spent hard earned money on a game that has become a very expensive coffee coaster.

I always read reviews and walkthroughs before I buy games unless I know the developer has made games that I liked. If the developer has mad games that I disliked I usually won't buy another made by them even if it gets good reviews. There are some things in games I don't like and reviewers don't always talk anout them.
I didn't get this game or Missing just because I had a feeling I wouldn't like them. There are a lot of developers that stray away from the time tested and proven adventure game style and almost all the time I just don't enjoy playing them. New ideas are good but when they subtract from the enjoyment of game play and story telling they are just not fun anymore to play.
I have been pretty lucky and out of 300 over games I only have 2 or 3 that I disliked so much I couldn't play.

I was disappointed, too. Figures, it is the first game Mark ever bought me, so I had to sit and play it anyway...when he was around.

I hated it too RAL. I only got to the underwater part & couldn't find what I was looking for. It's the only game I have that I never finished. I too finished Missing with a lot of coffee & expletives. I won't be buying any games from this company again either. I prefer the regular adv. games & don't mind whether they are mouse or keyboard, but give me a plain full screen to walk around in. Judy

Iva,

You might enjoy the game. If you take it slow and check everything - you can get the feel of the story. There are hair pulling puzzles but you might get through them. Give it a try at least.

From what Becky and others have written about it, the story was good and it would have been a good game if not for the frustrating "experimental" interface. There was an interesting thread where people discussed the story ***here*** <--.

It was a good game, but the navigation and interface could be frustrating.

And I liked Missing and Evidence, only Evidence locked up on me near the end so I never could finish it.
