duhIs It just me or did anyone else find next life boring.
I got tired of just be able to search such a short area, and having to start over each day. I also hated the timed puzzles. These old fingers don't work as fast as they use to.
I rather have a puzzle that takes some thinking and it lets you do it on your own pace.
I finally uninstalled the game before I was halfway thru.
YOu know to me it seems like the really good games are getting fewer and farther between.
I usally read the GBs reviews before I purchase a game. confused

welcomeamlamb Welcome to GB! welcome Nice to meet you. I've been playing a lot of my older games lately and am really enjoying them. They are much simplier with beautiful environments. The newer games require so much more horse power and highend graphics that they are becoming to costly.

thanks and wave to you Gerry,
I know what you mean.
I've got where it is more pleaasureable on getting the game than it is playing it. Now there are a few new ones that don't apply to that.
I just wish that I had keep my goodies, but I sold them so I
could get more since I'm on limited income blush

Hi Marie, Don't forget to check the GB Forum for buying used games! Lots of new ones are listed for trade or sale. I've purchased a few from here. Also make sure you enter the GB Contests for new games when available! Come join us in Joe's Diner on the Mixed Bags Forum and meet more of your GB friends. wave

thanks for the invite. I am afraid my life is to boring for all of you at Joe's diner. It would put you to sleep. I do check it out each day tho. If I find something interesting to report, I'll join in. Until then I enjoy reading and learning something about everyone. thumbsup

Welocome amlamb. welcome

Life is never boring. Hope you will join us in the Diner soon. As far as Next Life, I think it was one of the more difficult games to get through. There are some really great games out there.

I enjoyed the game. It has a gripping story and some innovative puzzles (except for the arcadey ones - I agree). The clues are there to find and not boring at all.

Well, knowing I could get saves for the arcadey parts, maybe I will give this game a try at some point. It has been languishing in my unplayed pile for a very long time now. smile

I also have the game (Next Life) and am again stuck at the car accident. I have all ready played this game completely and enjoy it even if it is slow moving. Seem like running a higher powered computer has also speeded up the timed stuff, but I am hard headed and not gonna stop until I get it done again. BTW this game runs fine on Vista(so far)

Outside of the arcade puzzles, I enjoyed it. The ending was disappointing though.

I kinda believe that they done the ending like that so that they could possibly set up a second part of the game. Just a hunch tho. It does leave possibilities.

I'm with bawdy. The arcade games in this game were the most deficult and meaningless of all i met. Especially the one in the car crash... smashpc
The ending... i was expecting something more unique and less common ending.

Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.

I just installed this.

It having arcade elements has me more interested now actually.

I don't play many "adventure" games, but I got this from the contest on here, so I'm going to give it a go.

This is the way I do that. Save just before timed event, do event, then save again. That way I don't have to do it again if I mess up.
