I am in the "Prosthetic Shop, and need to get the "Prosthetic Hand from the basket near the window.
To do so I have to play the "Music box, and whilst it is playing, go and pick up the "Hand".
Trouble is it each time i go to the basket the "Foot "Highlights, and not the "Hand" and i can't pick up the "Hand", by the time the Music-Box stops,I seem too slow moving across, and cannot highlight the "Hand item.
Please help.
Your help has been great in the past,so fingers crossed.

Before you do the puzzle - check which basket has the hand.
If I remember correctly, it is the basket under the window.
Try it and keep us posted.

I still cannot get the Prosthetic Hand.
I am sure it is in the basket near the window, the basket that has the "Hands and legs" and one of the hands is Red.
The other basket he doesn't want to touch.
I can look at the Basket and HighLight "Look at Prosthetic legs,
But cannot HighLight "Look at prosthetic Hands, if I could Hightlight "Look at Prosthetic Hands" I could probably "P" pick one up.But I cannot Highlight it and the 'Music Box" stops before i can try again.

I know I am slow, but that is the keyboard for you,and I cannot extend the "Musicbox" time, is there any other way to get a "Hand"

I have checked the basket,and believe it is the one that has the red hand in it,but i still cannot get to it before the music box
stops.and i cannot highlight the "prosthetic hands"

Download the one you need and it will get you through.

I have downloaded the "Save Game" House of Prosthetics" and saved it to my "Desktop" it came in a winzip form.
Now, Do I open it there, or transfer it to the "Save Game folder in "Escape from Monkey Island" and if/when i do that,will it enable me to continue the game? will it give me the Prosthetic hand??.
I will leave the Zip file on my "Desktop" until i hear from you.

You download to desk top.
Then unzip it at desktop.
Check the number of the one you extracted.
Now - open the saved game file of EMI. See the saved game there.
If there's a duplicate number there (same as the number of the one you unzipped) - best to take that out and keep it in a saved place.
Then replace it with the one you unzipped.

Play-load as usual

Re. Escape From Monkey Island.
Still cannot get the “PROSTHETIC HAND”, I have downloaded from the ‘Save Games” as suggested,and four separate times I came up with “Bad Data”, I replaced the ones where I was in the Prosthetic shop and after talking to shop owner.
I then carried on to where I got the Directions to the Swamp, (in my case this was a
“Save Game 031” I tried another save, this time (013 ozzies Mansion), and replaced it , and even tho it said it had replaced o31 with 013, when opened I was still in the shop and NO “Hand”. I have the Swamp water , clock etc, so tried for the ‘Swamp, came across the Raft, Put the Clock on the raft, and got the directions up in corner, but for the life of me, I couldn’t get onto the Raft, I tried the front, and the sides, I assume because I couldn’t get the “Hand”, I won’t be allowed to get on the Raft and find Petes place.
I do save a lot, and that is why I am up to 31 saves. Sorry, Still need HELP.
