I am stuck in Ankh 3 trying to escape the burning house. I have
made the rope ladder and got to the tub. Plugged up the drain and I know I am to plug up the overflow.

Sherryah, have you tried moving the sock to Thara's inventory? Or you could have Assil use the sock if it is in his inventory.

Thanks Kay, that is exactly what I did. I figured it out right before you wrote the answer.

Now I have another problem, I mean I am really stuck this time. I am trying to escape the kitchen in the burning house. I have a burning spoon, bird nest, surf board, tied roast duck,flour between both of them. There is a snake I can't get past. I know I think I am to get in the large maize jar and tip it. Right?

However that is not a option only that it is too heavy. How do I empty the contents? What do I do with that snake?

In reality I would either cover it with the surf board or hit it with the surf board, or throw flour at it.

I'm stuck in the kitchen also Sherryah. You will need something else in your inventory for the snake. I'm pulling my hair out trying to get out of that kitchen. Let me know if you make it. I know how it is supposed to happen, just cannot find the magic combination.

I forgot to mention Kay, I have the melon. I wanted to hit the snake in the head with it, but they won't let me. LOL

never do this in real life but so desperate to get away from that snake I offered the poor birdies to it! Shame on me, glad it didn't work.

Put the melon into Thara's inventory. From there she can walk behind the snake basket and drop the melon on it. I have a wooden spoon but it is not burning. Yes, I have the bird nest. I also have a clothesline, surfboard, flour, fire insurance policy.

Just put the spoon in the fire and it will burn.
Thanks for telling me, I will have her drop it on the snake, I must have had him doing it before when it wouldn't work.

I figured it out Kay. After dropping the melon on snake you take the fire insurance policy and place it on the firewood. You then take the burning spoon and burn the firewood. Watch what happens! How cute is this? A great sense of humor that is for sure whoever wrote this game.

OK now can anyone tell me how to cool the maize pot off? all that water and I can't find any container to put it in to put out the fire under the maize pot.

One of the things in your inventory can be used to hold water - I forgot which.
Just have Assil go to bathroom and scoop up some water

Thanks misslilo, I guessed I had to use water to put out the firewood but I will have to look at inventory again.

Hi Misslilo, I only have flour, burning spoon, tied up foul, surfboard, birdnest. I tried the burning spoon and Assil just says I just got it on fire why would I want to do that? Nothing else seems to be able to hold water. Can you please try and remember what it was? I will try the roasted duck in the water but that is just plain silly isn't it?

I don't believe it the silliest thing and it was right. Kay after you tie the duck with the clothesline fill it with water and the fire will go out. Amazing!

I am stuck in chapter 3. I have a long list of things to do, save cat, get crocs, new clothes, and the otter noses. I think I've tried everything and every combo but nothing. I have ball, wind up tool, banana and whistle. A little nudge would be great.

Save cat: See that cat is up the tree close to the merry go round. Also note that the merry go round already produced a scar on the tree and that the wheel on the merry go round is missing an axle.

Get crocodile: this follows the save the cat.

New clothes - this will be answered in the next chapter.

otter noses - this will be answered after the crocodile.

Thanx MaG and Rice Burner. Yes, I have noticed all those things- I can't tell you how many times I have ridden that merry go round hoping it will topple the tree or something. That dang scar doesn't even like my banana! I keep trying the wind up tool on the missing axle but to not avail. And clearly the cat doesn't like my ball. I assume by garden key you mean the key to get to tree and merry go round? I've tried looking for the missing mouse....I guess I need another nudge- or perhaps a push off a cliff!

Have you really looked close at that fountain that the camel is drinking from?
