What would you all say is a Really good Game lately? I am really in a slump, I have missed the Syberias, and the Longest Journey type, even a good ND... I also liked Shivers 1 and 2 I played (do you think these would be good for trades?) Lately I am playing fair to BAD games it seems over a month ago, I ordered Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches from Amazon, I kept watching for when it would ship, and then after a month they said sorry we dont have it so I guess I am just posting frustration and wondering does anyone have a recommendation for good games in the last few years?? I have played all the ND, and Dreamfall and recently I have been trying to get through Belief and Betrayal, but I really dont like the GUY he drives me CRAZY(his voice) and the puzzles to me, the way you have to drag things from pad, just doesnt make sense to me, frustrating... Need a nudge in the right Direction, do yall get in a slump too?? Marcia

The Ankh games are good, so is Jack Keane and So Blonde Or how about heading over to GOG.com and get the FREE games there: Teenagent and Beneath a Steel Sky They play on Vista. Of course you need to make an acocunt there (also free) to be able to download - but once done you can enter your Account and see them on a nice shelf

Oh WoW !!! We all get into a game slump, BUT snap out of it I get slumped all the time....Then comes along a game like "Lost Crown" Then I have played " Vampyre" There are no many I could mention, But it all depends on your preference of what you like in a game... When I get slumped out with AG's I now switch to casual games which takes up lost space... Hope you get back to playing again

Thanks Everyone, I think i will get Perry Rhodam, I love culpa innata, I have it to trade , think I need to get my good games to trade for some of those... and that Vampyre kind of looks like Grim Fandango, I loved that game... so maybe that is another good one to try So Blond sounds good to me to ... Hey I also enjoyed Nostradamus and Cleopatra, and Loved lost Crown..so maybe it hasnt been as bad as it seems LOL funny how easy it is to lost perspective , I do like some of the casual games too... I try to trade, because well, my hubby just got laid off work, and cant really buy many knew so look for ebay or trades or sell used... Thanks for all your great referrals and the Community here is the BEST, the only game site I have really stuck with for about 4 years now, LOVE it here... Marcia

Sometimes i play and action/adventure that i can play using a trainer or cheat codes available for that game.(i have arthritis and fast moves aren't so fast anymore..so only play good ones that i look at and see if have those 'helpers' for me!!)..that kind of helps with the 'letdown' we can all get....and gosh, i have really been enjoying the HOGs at BigFishGames!! But i too lately since Lost Crown have not found but 1 game that i really got into..and it was an older game i had had but not played..Dark MIrror.. It starts off a bit tedious (lots of back and forthing)a but later it got very interesting(to me) and was glad i had rooted around in my 'not played yet' drawer! If you like solitary and explorative games you might play Rhem (the first one)..it is very good...exploration and puzzles..very interesting..and if you REALLY like it there are 2 follow ups! (they get harder! but are still good..thank Heavens for walkthroughs!). Only games i am looking forward to are Jonathan Boakes' and a second Barrow Hill !

Talking of slumps, I'm not particularly enjoying any kind of adventure game with cartoon-style graphics lately. Just can't seem to get into them, no matter how hard I try. So as for other games, I did love: Art of Murder 2: Hunt for the Puppeteer Chronicles of Mystery: The Scorpio Ritual Nostradamus The Colour of Murder And would recommend those.

Thanks rushes, I just pulled Colour of Murder off the shelf yesterday totally forgot I had it, and will look for both Art of murder two and Chronicles of Mystery in another swap... I loved Nostradamus, right up my ally as type of puzzles I love... I love math and symbol types... Oh Yeh, I keep hearing about Ceville, think I will add it... gamenut what is the HOGS? and I hear ya :), I loved the lost crown, it was so refreshing at the time I played I was once again in a GREAT game for me... ( I know I am not as smart as some of the guys, and really use the cheats sometimes, I am on my way to look for help with Color Murder, I use to do better at that, maybe that is what is causing some of the down, I know it affects games, I am just so dang spoiled LOL with the Gameboomers walkthroughs well, I just would not make it through almost ALL games... without them Marcia

Some of the games I have played and liked are the Sherlock Holmes games. The Awakened I thought was really good . There is a new one coming out this month Jack the Ripper and it can be pre ordered from Interact at the top of this page. Also I liked Dracula Origin . The Art of Murder games are pretty good. Secret Files Tunguska was enjoyable game, there is a number 2 coming soon . Rhiannon, Sinking Island and Overclocked I also played which were OK. The Agatha Christie games are OK too. I forgot for a moment Black Mirror and Still Life are really good and they have number 2s coming out this year . I just order the Darkfall games Pins and Needles collection and also Barrow Hill so I am looking forward to playing them everyone says they are good games . There is a 3rd coming out with Darkfall and a 2nd with Barrow Hill. Now for myself did not like TLJ or Dreamfall but I did love Syberia 1 and 2 . There is a lot of games out there and Interact has most of them. Hope this may helped some, everyone has there own favorites.

Heavenly, I feel your pain as I often get into slumps with games as there are many out there which are totally pants and if you have played many it can be hard to find one you like. When you really can't find a game you like it's often a good idea to do other things you enjoy and take a break from games.

chissie, its like a movie getting the right one for the mood seems... I think I recongnize a problem, I got into is starting more than one game and not finishing many, I think I have about 5 that I have started and need to go back and finish, Wanted, Everlight, and stilllife, and belief and betrayal... just relizing this could be part of the problem I am having, each of these have frustrating for one reason or another... Wanted, to many carrots... Everlight, I am just dumb, have trouble with what is next I guess... Still life , timed things drive me CRAZY.. and that Belief and betrayal guy... sheeesh LOL do yall have times where your in the middle of alot of GAMES... Trinny I am so glad to here so many of the great games are coming out with Sequels I have played most those, but look for sequels like you Mad and I think that is an excellent Idea, I never replay games, but thinking I will go to Fred Meyers and get the JC Game of both Syberia 1 and 2(its only 10 dollars for both), to replay, as I traded that one... I never thought I would replay, and thinking I will with this one.... Pamella, also think its a good Idea to take a game break sometimes, I am disabled and home alot, but my other Hobby/part time business is suffering.... it relates to my name, Heavenly Joy Designs, I make Jewelry and Beaded work... Anyway, really appreciate so many good recommendations, many I havent played yet ..... Ceville and So Blonde, Ana, I do like some of the Causal Games, especially if I had a hard game to play , nice to have the flow of something like that... Marcia
