I started this nice game and I got the recipe for the coloring cream from the dressing table drawer, I clicked it on Madelaine's picture. Then I was supposed to click it on the recipe part of the book, which is the second tab!
Problem: it will not take the recipe...can you help?

You can click it on Madeleine or just the journal-book.
Once that book is opened - then click it on the recipe pages.

Thanks Mag...I was on the wrong page, I thought you could put it anywhere....but now that I have made the cream, I returned to Nosty, but he doesn't want to talk much...all he says is: it's not bad, but your figure gives you away.
I have Madelaine all dressed up and disguised, even tried to put the cream on her but she says her father will know how to apply it. So why is Nosty not telling her to make jam etc.?

Back again....To make the jam I have to look at the recipe above the fire pit, I see it on the wall but cannot get it down or read it! What now?

Ah - you didn't open the little side table beside the door of mom's room.

Here's from the wt:
Open the top drawer right of the bed and take the strip of cloth. Take shoulder pads from the bottom drawer.
Take the dress off Madeleine and use strip of cloth and shoulder pads on Madeleine.

There should be an icon on the paper above the cauldron.
