Im in chapter 3 where i have to throw the hammer at fire-spitting pool. When i get to the pool, i cant use any controls and get hit by fire repeatedly and die. Any solutions???

Is this in Chapter 4 with 2 monsters throwing fireballs at you?

Throw it toward them before they're able to spit fireballs toward you. Place the hammer on the pedestal. The crows will pull you up to the sky again. This time they will drop you in front of a big locked door.

Another walkthrough states:
Place hammer Mojolnir in the stone table. Walk back to the trunk , along the way back some monsters spit fireballs to you, throw the Mjolnir to the monster before he spit the fireball. Walk left from the trunk in the tunnel from a cave.

Thanks MaG. The problem got solved by loading a previous save; i was just unable to throw the hammer earlie. After starting from a previous restore, the game worked fine!!!
I had consulted both the walkthroughs but i guess there was a bug in the game. Thanks again.

Wonderful. Enjoy this game. I liked the first Ring better.
