Hi greatsmitty -- it looks like the ABC Murders will only be released for the Nintendo DS. frown So we've removed it from the Upcoming Games page.

Do you know the release date for the game Becky?

Even though I'd like to see the game as a PC version also, we do need another adventure game for us Nintendo DS game players

Thanks,
Marie wave

When Nintendo DS is mentioned do you mean that very teeny weeny little hand-held gadget that would give anyone a little focally challenged a hard job of focusing on the screen, or is there a bigger version of it? smile

Thank you Ana for confirming that, I wasn't aware of anything larger!

But I am so baffled as to why developers are making games 'exclusively?' for this tiny little thing? I can appreciate that as it's portable you can play the games anywhere if that is your only option in a situation, but otherwise surely most players are going to prefer playing on a larger screen? crazy

It's simpler to program so they can produce it faster and it will undoubtedly bring in a larger and quicker return. Consoles and hand helds generally sell better then PC games.

Did the source of this information give any explanation about why they wouldn't make a PC version?

No release date yet, no reason stated for just making it for the DS. frown I suppose there is a chance that if the DS version sells very well, the game might make it onto other platforms. But that's just me being optimistic at the moment.

This is so upsetting to me, I was looking forward for another Agatha Christie game sad. My daughter has a DS and I never play it because the screen is so small. Also she rarely ever will play an adventure game. So I know she would not buy ABC Murders. My nephews and grandchildren also have DS but they only play games that shoot, jump, race and chase, like Mario Brothers. So they would not buy it either. So I don't know why they are only going for these type of shoppers duh. When there is people like us that are willing and ready to buy it right away if it would come out on PC. Well I am going to try and think like Becky and be optimistic and hopefully we will see it for PC thumbsup.

That's too bad, it won't be a PC version. Hopefully it will sell well on DS which will allow a PC version. I plan to buy the new DSi. The screen is a little bigger and it's thinner. I have a DS now and played Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk Room 215 which were adventure games. Maybe the developers hope that it will be successful on this platform.

Hi gamenut -- it keeps us busy just keeping up with the upcoming PC adventures! There's an upcoming adventures list at Adventure Gamers that includes the Nintendo DS and Wii titles.

Oh boy! That will be so nice... The regular adventure games get lumped in with action games (if they're mentioned at all) in most areas. Only way i hear of them is Here! Yes, i know you guys are busy as it is..i don't know how you keep up with all the stuff you do for us here at the 'boomers! I am so glad to have found this site years a go...what a great group!

I can't believe there will be no PC version frown I think we should all get the ball rolling and email the developers about a PC release. Surely they will have to listen? After all the other games in the series were on PC so I don't see why this one should be different.

I was also very disappointed about this, hopefully we will see something else in the near future like ATTWN, MOTOE and EUTS.
