Now that some people have played through it or are still playing through the game, does anyone have an opinion on it? How did you like the game compared to the first?

I myself thought it was enjoyable and the story was good, but it didn't have the same feel as the first game.

In my opinion: Both games have psychological depth in the story.
The first's story was more visible because it was shorter and laid out simpler.
The second was longer, have continuous puzzles which tended to distract away from the overall premise. It tended to just think of the now conundrum one is facing.

Although, I don't usually get tense on timed puzzles but 2 of those affected me on SL2 because a life depended on my actions. I wanted to end the torture so bad.
Some of the puzzles on SL2 reminded me of The Messenger, Broken Sword...

Both games are definitely not for the faint of heart.

It is a definite thriller of a game. bravo

I did play the game but i dont remember any timed puzzles. Did I miss them? Please could you tell me where in spoiler tags if you think right.
Ive still got the game and saves on my hard drive and would like to go over what it seems i missed
I cant compare the 2. They were both different and with different pros and cons. They were both very good and I enjoyed them both I think equal

Still Life was a surprise, well made, great graphics and an intriguing plot.
Still Life 2 is another big surprise, maybe not in the technical department, but a story so gripping and all the twists and turns! It will be high on my fav game list for quite awhile. smile

I think that SL2 was better than the first, it was longer and it had more action, lol...But I freaked out on the timed puzzles, lol...I like playing 2 characters, it was cool smile

I'm in the process of playing SL2 and loving it. I haven't ran into the timed puzzles yet but it keeps you on your toes. Get good at it. That's my goal. Great game...Hope they keep coming!

So seems like most people like it although not crazy about it...
Good enough. What I liked most about the first one is the atmosphere and the characters and story (definitely not for the puzzles in this game!)
I'll get it after mid-exams are over :-)

There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.

Gee, August is still so far away... I'm on tenterhooks, as some people seem to like the game, even if others don't... monky

Well Ive just started playing this and when I came across the first timed puzzle my heart sank. What are developers thinking of still putting these things in an adventure game.

What I would like to know is whether there are many of them in the game. If there are I might as well knock the game on the head now and play something else.

I don`t think I`ve ever looked forward more to a sequel as I have with this game and what with the clumsy graphics and these timed puzzles it looks like its gonna be a big let down. It would only get worse if you could die in the game as well.

I'm well into the game - with a bit of help from MaG's walkthru ... good plot, great graphics

One thing is really irritating for me, and that's the method used for storing inventory. All those bins and cabinets scattered about to hold part of your inventory. Can't see that this adds anything to the game - in fact absolutely detracts from it. Anybody else have a problem with this?

I didn't have a problem with it, in fact it adds a bit more reality to the game. I always wondered how the protagonists in other AG's were able to move, considering how much stuff they were carrying. lol
