Hello helpful people,
I am playing NiBiRu and have got as far as arriving at the hotel in France where the villains are also staying. To get past without being seen I have to use the emergency ladder down the lane beside the hotel, the old beggar woman wont lend me her walking cane ro reach the emergency ladder unless I get her a hot dog with ketchup. She only want a hotdog with ketchup and to get the ketchup I have to get past the villain in the lobby of the hotel and this is where I come to a stand still....
I cant get past the villain to get the ketchup which is supposed to be on the reception desk.
If I could shoot him I would lol birthday
Joy Gay ....(ninetynine)

Hi Joy,

Have you already bought a plain hot dog? Do this before entering the hotel.
Then can you see the ketchup bottle on the Reception counter? You should be able to take it.

There's a game glitch at this point which may possibly affect your taking the ketchup, so let us know if you still have trouble here. It may be that you'll need a saved game to get you through.

luck

Hi Rushes, Yes I already have a plain hot dog and I think I can see the top of the bottle of ketchup on the reception desk but the villain is in the way.....I,ve had a look at the patches but there doesnt seem to be one so if a saved game is available I would very much appreciate it....I was just wondering; do these glitches get reported to whoever produces the games ??
cheers and many thanks for your help Joy Gay

Joy, I've checked my saves but unfortunately I don't have one at this spot. So I've done some Googling and have found that this is a definite glitch, but there is a way around it. smile

Check this thread from TechSpot.com HERE

To quote:
I searched for the problem and saw that more people had this problem. I discovered something with F12. When you enter the hotel and the guy in white sits at the bar and the ketchup is not active. Click on the drunk guest in white on the bar and right after you start walking towards him press F12, he disappears and you go stand before him. Then notice that your cursor still says guest in thin air, click on guest and now press F12 again. It triggers a conversation from the night before. Just click through this and you walk to the door. Now the ketchup is active!

luck - hope that does the trick! Let us know how you get on.

hi rushes....I'm sorry to report I havnt had any success with your advise....its not for want of trying....all sorts of funny things have happened....I did get the man in the white suit to disappear but then there was a man in a black suit in the way.
at no time could I make the ketchup active....I may go back and try again later but for the moment I give up....I do have a stubborn streak ....so if I ever get results will let you know
cheers Joy

If you're talking about the saved game I sent - it should be attached to the mail I sent.

If you're talking about where to place the renumbered saved game - it should be in C:Program Files/The Adventure Company/NiBiRu folder.
Look inside the Nibiru folder and check the files in there to see what is the last numbers of the files.
Check the last number of the saved game files there.

Renumber the 2 files I sent to be the last number.
Then place those 2 renumbered files in the open NiBoRu folder.
luck
