I am in the secret room, trying to open the safe.I have the sequence of numbers. When I move the first number to the red line at the top and click on the centre of the dial I hear a click which I think means it is correct but for all the other numbers I hear no sound and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Hi bob,

Is this the sequence that you're following:
Turn the dial - Left to 3, right to 1, left to 4, right to 1 and left to 5. think

Yes I've tried it several times but it never works. I am beginning to wonder if there is a glitch in this game. Perhaps someone else will have had the same problem.
Thanks
Bob

I just checked back through some earlier threads. Try talking to Peter about everything, and then try the safe again. This got another member through and on with the game. Good luck!

I tried talking to Peter before trying to open the safe but nothing happened. When I move the number 3 to the red line at the top and click on the centre I hear a click. Sometimes when I move the next number 1 I hear a click but nothing for the numbers after that. I have also tried loading a previously saved game but when I reach the safe again nothing happens. I wonder if it could be a faulty disc or am I missing the blindingly obvious

Bob, I can't recall exactly but wonder if clicking the centre is resetting the safe each time? Try moving the dial per the sequence in my above post without clicking the centre at all, and see if that does the trick.

Did he say that he knows the combination of the safe when you clicked on the safe?
The clue is the note you pieced together.

My saved game closest to this part is outside by the truck. If you want that - holler.

Hi Rushes

You are right. Clicking on the centre of the safe must re set the mechanism. I have done exactly as you said and it worked.
Many thanks

Glad that worked for you. Enjoy the rest of the game.
