Back again....this time with the Omega Stone!
At the beginning of the game, I am at the 4 cobras and the rectangular stone is down and when I click on the scroll to pick it up and put it in my inventory, the cursor doesn't change into the knapsack like with the other scrolls and I believe that's why the code for the 4 cobras doesn't work! in other words...that scroll is NOT going into my inventory!

Are you sure this isn't a Hints problem?

NO...why can't I pick up this scroll? The cursor is supposed to change into the knapsack so I can put it in inventory and the cursor only shows the scroll, but will not put it into my inventory! the other scrolls are there. The wT says to put it into inventory because I need it to solve the code to get the first disk. I have the code from the WT but it doesn't work because the scroll in question is not in my inventory. Thanks!

I might not be understanding, your cursor should be a knapsack before you click it on any item to pick up. Is that how you're doing it?

Yes, that's how it is done, when I click on an item to be picked up, the cursor changes into a knapsack, then when you left click it, the item will be in the inventory bar at the bottom of the screen.

I'm just guessing because it's been six years since I played this game and I don't remember the interface very well. But it sounds like you're expecting the cursor to automatically change with your first click on an inventory item -- and in this particular view it doesn't do that. The walkthrough says So try changing the cursor to a knapsack by using the pot before clicking the scroll.

No that doesn't work either! When you look at the scroll and move the cursor over it, it changes to a magn. glass, then when you click it, the scroll opens up...it is at that time that the cursor should show up as a knapsack...you can move it all over the place and it remains a knapsack until you left click the mouse and the item shows up in the inventory bar. That's how I got the other scrolls. If I bypass this problem I won't get the first disk etc.I don't think I am doing something wrong. If it worked on the other items (2 scrolls in boxes on the floor)why wouldn't it work with this scroll?
I hope someone can find the answer, and I do appreciate your help!

I'm not really sure what the problem is with the inventory. But isn't this the game that started to malfunction if you had too many saves, or took too many pictures with the in-game camera?

I am not aware of that, I am just starting out, like right at the beginning, only one save and one picture. You think I should un-install the game and start over?

It sounds like your problem is different from the one with the saves/pictures if you're just starting out. I don't know if an uninstall/reinstall will help. If you're not too far into the game, it might be worth a try. Make sure you don't install into C:\Program Files when you reinstall.

After a lot of riggamarole...I finally got it going and got the first disk in my knapsack!
This may sound silly....after I went outside to board the chopper, I couldn't find a way to get up there!! I got close to it, but the curser went dead on me and I have gone along the entire bank to find a way to the "upper" level, but no dice!
Can you tell me how to get to the chopper?

I am stuck inside the Marv van on Stonehenge, I cannot find the letter from Sir Gil and the key ....I looked everywhere, but cannot find those items. a Clue anyone?? Thanks and good nite!

You may need to travel around a bit first and then come back to find the letter & key. Here's what the walkthrough says regarding this part of the game:

Recreational Vehicle: While still sitting at the passenger seat, turn to the right and read the 2 letters that should be on the shelf or armrest. If the letters are not there, go to some other part of the world and then come back.
Hint: If you have already exhausted all possible clues in a certain area - go to another part of the globe and then comeback. New clues might surface - like the appearance of the letters here.
I visited Easter Island and saw letters about the destruction done to the Moai.
The Archeological academia is shocked by those actions and Gil is compared to the Taliban.
Gil's Stonehenge letter talks about Christian, the former student here at Stonehenge and Cornelius Snelling. Take the key.
