Hi, everyone!

I've unlocked the shed, taken the sails and put them on the ship. I've unlocked the closet and taken the walkie talkie and scuba gear and noticed the map. I beat the monkey and gave the fruit I won to the bird. I've driven the golf cart around the island but can only explore Shark Cove and the area where the monkeys are. The demo didn't automatically end, so I'm wondering what I missed.

Speaking of the golf cart, why do I think the ending sequence will be a golf cart chase evil ?

Try digging/looking around Shark Cove
And then going back to the hut

I know, the ending sequence will so be that. They used to be so original...

Hi, Phoenix!

Thanks for your response. I forgot to mention that I did dig up a code book at Shark Cove but reached a "dead end" after I read the first few pages.

I've ticked off everything but explore the island on my check list, so I guess I'll hop in my trusty golf cart and see what I missed because I returned to the hut but the demo didn't end.

Susan,

Check the map in the resort building and see the places.

The places to visit are:
Monkey Center,
Bat Steep (cliff)
Blue Hole
Sangre Beach
Shark's Cove

Hi, MaG!

Thanks! I hadn't been to Bat Steep yet but, once I found it (and it wasn't easy), I returned to the resort and the demo ended.

The demo left me wanting more, so I'm looking forward to buying the game when it's released next month; however, I'm NOT looking forward to the golf cart chase at the end, which I just KNOW will happen.

Susan

Hi, LB!

What problems are you having because my demo ran fine? If your computer meets the minimum specs, is it possible that there was a glitch during your download? Did you try downloading again to see what happens?

I click on the exe link and get the message: The application failed to start because d3dx9_33.dll was not found.

Hi, LB!

I believe you need DirectX 9 to play the demo. When you were installing the demo, did you have the option to install DirectX 9? Try reinstalling and see if that option comes up. If not, it can be downloaded from Microsoft's website. That should solve your problem.

Installing? All I got was a zipped file. I unzipped it and clicked on the exe link. How do you install?

I'd suggest posting over in our Glitches forum where the experts there will be able to help you, Lady Bunansa. luck

Hi, LB!

After you unzipped the download file, do you have a "ran_demo" file folder? Did you click on the file entitled "Ransom" (it's a picture of a ship) in that folder? If you still get the DirectX9 error message, I'd suggest you download the latest version of DirectX 9 from Microsoft's website, and that should, hopefully, solve your problem. If not, as Rushes said, if you post an SOS in the "Glitches" section, you'll probably get some other suggestions.

Good luck!

Susan
