Hi all

Not sure if this has already been posted? think

A clip from Jonathan Boakes interview on Adventure Gamers, Says.. "Jonathan: Very perceptive! I've decided to let Lucy Reubans and Nigel Danvers experiment with the 'traditional' ghost-hunting gadgets, in their very own sequel (come 2010)".

With both Jonathan and Matt producing these unique titles year after year, gamers the world over can only sit back in appreciation and anticipation.
bravo

Over the last couple of years my game-playing has been at a minimum. Lost Crown has been on my wish list for years & I finally bought it. What a joy to play. These guys really know how to create the kind of environment that feels spooky to me... that exists in the fog; in the quiet... doesn't need to jump out at every turn. PERFECTION.

And now this wonderful news! If there's a sequel, I'll be getting mine just as soon as it's available.

I'm glad to hear that Jonathan is hard at work again on the next Last Crown adventure, I really enjoyed that first one and I'm saving the game to play again at a later time.

Thqanks, for the updates Carla bravo

I just finished playing Lost Crown about two weeks ago. I had it on my wish list for a long time, and when I unexpectedly spotted it one day, marked down, I had to finally get it. I really enjoyed the game. It's one you keep thinking about long after you've finished it.

And now I see that there is a sequel in the works - that is just fantastic news!! Thanks so much to everyone for sharing the news. Can't wait to play!

Oh goodness, another game with bad dialogue, bad dialogue trees, stiff characters just standing there like manneqiens, stiff and terrible voice acting, and bugs galore.

Sooooo NOT wanting another piece of [blip] like Lost Crown.

Despite there being some truth in Drachehexe's comment about stiff characters and voice actors, the story and puzzles more than made up for that and I liked this game a lot. I am very happy to read there's a sequel planned. smile

I'll be back, one day, when I feel like it.

Well, the story was just fine, for what I saw of it. But the bad dialogue and voice acting and stiff characters just really took me out of the experience.

Still, I couldn't even finish the game, kept coming to this part where I was supposed to talk to a guy and could never get the conversation to initiate. I followed 3 different through to that point and it never worked.

I'm most looking forward to Lost Souls, but I'll buy just about anything from Jonathan (multiple times over, in certain, special cases. grin).

Hi all

Ditto Feeb88. Whatever Jonathan & Matt Clark (Barrow Hill) produce, will always be first on my list of purchases. thumbsup

And to quote the Darkling Room site "I believe series has a long way to go...and will be with us for some time to come."

It's now gone from a sequel to a series praise Wow!

Thanks for the update Carla.

While I do agree about the slightly dodgy voice acting, I loved The Lost Crown. It's a beatifully produced game and is wonderfully atmospheric. I was genuinely scared at certain points and I'm not easily spooked!

Greatly looking forward to the sequel.

As a classic ghost story fan, I really enjoyed The Lost Crown because it gave the sensations of actually BEING in a ghost story. By the time I finished, (big thanks to the help I got here) the town and it's inhabitants were almost "real". It's great to rejoin Nigel and Lucy - and that mysterious company they're working for/being tracked by.

What i really liked about the Lost Crown was the fact that most of the places you visited were in fact real, so it added to the game along with the outstanding gameplay.

I've just called in to check if there are some rumorus of any sequel to the Last Crown! And here it is - the coolest news of the gaming world for the last two years!
I loved the game and I fell in love with Saxton. While the characters are really stiffy, the game HAS the plot and the supporting part characters, so to say, are really interesting! Anyway, considering the techonological level, ALL the game charaters are more or less stiffy!
By the way, I've been fiddling with an idea of a fanfiction contest or thread, devoted to the world of the Lost Crown and Saxton. I'm fascinated with so many ghost stories about the place. For example, I'd like to hear the story of Nanny Noa and Bob Tawny. And why Nigel really escaped from Hadden. What do you think, fellow boomers? The participants could upload their stories to a file storage site and post links in a fanfiction thread.
