Debony, I merged your new thread with your existing thread for this game. Please stay with just one thread per game so that we can follow your progress, thanks

I don't have the game currently installed so cannot check the save you sent me. I previously sent you a saved game to get you past the skull & hats puzzle, did you have a problem installing?

The old thread was so long ago, I would have had a hard time finding it, that's why I started a new one. Sorry.

I did exactly what you asked me to do in the email you sent but when I tried to play the game, I was in the exact same spot before I sent you the game, so I guess you can say I had a problem installing that save. HELP! Thanks.

You can find all your old posts by clicking on My Place at the top of the forum page, and then My Posts. smile

The save that I e-mailed to you has both puzzles complete, and the gate open for you to enter through. Check the step-by-step for installing the save. As you previously successfully installed a separate save for this game, it should be compatible.

A screenshot solution is here for the puzzle if you still have problems with the save:

Rushes

I've tried it all over again but it's still the same story, the save you sent ain't working. I couldn't find it when I started up the game, all I could find were my own saves. Can you send me another save? Thanks.

Hi Rushes, missed me? Guess what? Yup, save still not working. These are what I've done so far:
1. Saved the save on my desktop
2. Renumbered it
3. Copied it into my game's folder, not microid as you stated in you email but C:\Program Files\Dracula 3 - The Path of the Dragon\Users\Profile1. I can't find the folder microid on my computer.
4. Exited folder and started up the game again but the save wasn't in my game profile. Could it be cuz of the folder location on my computer as I can't find the microid folder.

And another thing I've solved the puzzle so why is the door still closed? Thanks for your help.

Which gargoyle profile are you using for your own game? Check all the profiles just in case.

If you think you've solved the hat puzzle correctly, then it might be the Blood, Sweat & Tears puzzle which is incorrect. Double check the paths of the liquids, make sure that different liquids do not mix with each other, but form a clear path through with all the gates open.

I'm using the 1st gargoyle profile and I'm way ahead of you, I already checked all the profiles just in case there was an error of some sort but they are all empty. When I did the tears & blood puzzle, one of the bars blocking the door fell off, so I'm assuming that I did that correctly. But I'll check again anyway just to be sure. Thanks.

Hi Rushes I've gone back 2 the game & solved both puzzles again but I'm still stuck as the 2nd bar is still not falling off the door like the 1st one did when I solved the tears & blood puzzle. Have u got any ideas why this is so? I really need some solution here. Thanks.

If you heard the bar move when you solved the Blood, Sweat & Tears puzzle, but not when you completed the Hat puzzle, and the door is still closed, then that can only mean that the Hat puzzle is incorrect. Please check the screenshot of this again, make sure the syringe is placed in the forehead of the middle skull, and nails in all others as indicated by the red X.

Also look again at the drawings that refer to this puzzle - from the walkthrough:
Recall the drawings from Vlad's biography that have reference to his punishing foreigners because they do not remove their hats. There is the original with the foreigners being Turkish and the copy has the foreigners as Genoese. The drawings are found in documents titled Punishments (Vat.) and Punishment (V. Berg). Study the 2 drawings with the enlarger and note the differences.

Is it possible to send you a save so you'll see for yourself where I'm at? I think I got the hats puzzle right but for some reason it's not opening the door. Can I send you my save? Thanks.

If you have both puzzle done correctly, the gate will oopen.
Redo it please and see. Check again the picture in the walkthrough. Be sure you have the syringe placed at the correct skull.

Can I send you a save instead so you'll know what I've done, maybe I need a another pair of eyes to look at cuz I've looked at it a thousand times and I'm sure it's solved. Maybe it's just me, What's your email addy? Thanks.

I would recommend that you go back to a saved game before you touched both puzzle in this hallway: the skull and the blood, sweat, tears.
It looks like one or both of them are not done yet.

Mags if you read my earlier posts you'll see that I've gone back to previos saves and solved both puzzles a million and one times. That's why I asked if I could send you a save to help me oonfirm if I did solve the puzzles correctly as I followed the WT to the letter. And if both puzzles were correctly solved, then I'd know there's a glitch in my game (I hope not though). So can I send you a save so you can have a look for me? Thanks so much.

Thanks a lot.

Ok I've saved the save you sent me to my game folder but when I started the game and tried to load the saved game, I couldn't find it. I even checked the other gargoyle profiles but all I could find were my previous saved games. These are the steps I took to save the save you sent:

1. I downloaded and saved it on my desktop.
2. Renamed it and exited the folder
3. started the game again

But saved game wasn't showing. This is the 3rd save I've received for this game but anytime I save, it doesn't show when I try to load a saved game. Are these the correct steps or did I make a mistake? HELP! Please. Thank you.

When you open a profile and the load screen of that profile, scroll to the start of the list.
Our saved games are done earlier than yours. So check the date.
Click-load the earliest one.

Thanks Mag but what I've been trying to tell you is that on the load screen the only saved games there are my previously saved ones even after downloading the saved games you sent. I don't understand, I followed the same procedure when an ND: Ransom of the 7 ships save was sent to me and it worked, don't know why this isn't. I'd appreciate your help here. Thanks so much.

Debony, here's how to take a screenshot:

While you're in the game press your Print Scrn button (top right of your keyboard). Exit out of the game, and open up your Paint program (usually in Accessories). From the top toolbar select the Edit dropdown menu, then Paste, and the screenshot will be pasted into the program. Save the image as a jpeg file, and attach to an e-mail.

If you can take a screenshot of both completed puzzles and e-mail them to me, I'll take a look and see if I can figure out from the screenshots where you're going wrong.

I don't have the game installed so am unable to check an actual save game for you.

Thanks. I've taken a look at them. The Blood, Sweat & Tears puzzle has some critical gates still shut, so I've circled them on the screenshot and e-mailed back to you. Crossing fingers that'll get you through the door now.
