I peeked at the walkthrough for Dark Fall Lights out to try to figure out how to communicate with Polly when she is in the locked upper room. The walkthrough mentioned a journal in her knapsack in the boiler room and a tape of a hypnosis session. I have read the journal and listened to the tape, and yet when Polly asks me a question, I am unable to answer her - the cursor does not change around the keyhole. I think the problem is that nowhere in the journal or on the tape does it give the "left for yes right for no" - I have listened/read twice. I click around the keyhole anyway, but I assume she is not "hearing" my answer, because she does not speak again.
