I just started the game and am already in trouble.I tied the 2 ropes together then clicked on bench arm under the window and nothing happened. It wont attach. Am I not doing something right?

Have you clicked on the black spot and read the information on it? Did you take the lighter and sextant? Have you read the parrot's message?

(These are mentioned in the walkthrough if you want more info.)

It's possible that you can't leave until you've read the black spot info and picked up the lighter (the sextant may not be as important).

Hi Rushes or Mag, I'm up to where I have to make a cannon ball, but when i first went to collect the mud I fell in the water. I did not get the mud at that time, I've been back but cannot pick up any mud now so I cannot make a cannon ball. Will I have to go right back in the game, do you think? Thanks.

I believe that you can go back and dried clay again (if you're sure that you have not taken any yet).
Double check your inventory and also when you go back to the swamp - be sure that you are looking for it at the correct place. It should be before you enter the swampy area and on your left. They look different from the other soil around there.

Bri, did you Did you try taking the dried clay from the right of the stone bench?

Hi ya MaG, I see you beat me

Tried to go back to Hollow head but Jim says he doesn't want to be stuck in the mire again as theres no one to help him out. Tried to find the mud at the swamp followed both walk through's it says pan left , which I did theres a branch there which I keep picking up , but can't seem to put it anywhere and cannot find the mud. Thank you for your help both, but I'm still stuck.

I believe you're at the other side of the swamp.
The clay is on the opposite shore.
Go around to the other side and approach the swamp that way.

Hi Mag, went back to the swamp in the game and read the walk through didn't see the branch earlier in the game, so did not realise you put it in the swamp in case you needed to go back across.Had I read the walkthrough properly, I would not have had to go back so far.You can teach an old dog new tricks , oh well it's such a good game I don't mind. My memory is slipping but I thought you can go back through a back way. Can you not jump to somewhere close to the other side and walk from there?

well yes Mag, but I missed the part were you put the branches across the water so you could walk back just in case you missed the dry clay like I did.I started again from that part because without that branch there is no way you can get back to the other side.It has taught me a lesson. Take more care with the walk through.Thanks once again.

So you cannot hump to Lone Tree using the map?
Then to the Hollow Head and then walk to the swamp?

I tried every way, maybe I did something wrong but I couldn't seem to get back.I'm back at my origional place now and have just made the cannonball,Yipeeeee Mag
