Well gang, got bored so I pulled out all my Myst games. Haven't played them in over 5 years. I'm currently on Myst IV, Serenia Part 2 in the Memory Chamber puzzle. The part where your supposed to make all the clouds white!!!! I don't remember it being that hard before - amyone got a hint on doing it, I've been trying for hours and am getting no where. It wouldn't be too bad except everytime I think I'm getting close a horn blows and all the clouds change colors, what's up with that???

Papa Terry I replayed this game a few months ago. I found the cloud sequence difficult. I found the best way to do it is to go around Yeesha in a circular clockwise direction changing the cloud colors till they are all white. The colors go from red, to purple, to blue, cyan, green, yellow, then white. It helps to remember the color changing sequence so you can get a pattern and change the colors so the last time around everything turns to white. I'm sure DadGuy will be along with some good advice to. He is the Myst expert. Someone may have a save after the "cloud puzzle". Good Luck! I may have a saved after it to.

Thanks for the input. I tried again last night and worked on it until 2 a.m. (good thing I'm retired). Hopefully Dadguy will read this and send me a save.

Yea.....I finally got it. Thanks Gerry, the hint about going around in a clockwise motion from Yeesha helped.

Hi Gang,
Sorry I am late. Yay Papa!!!!
Kaki's advise is right on target. The puzzle will reset if you try to go back and forth between two clouds, so you have to go in circles trying to get everything in view changed to green then yellow, then white. Then you slide out of view to attack the next set of clouds. Eventually all will be white. On occasion you will have to change some already-white clouds back to colored becasue you are trapped, but you eventually get there.
You can't exchange saves in Myst IV since your game progress may be very different from the save that the person is sending to you. So, Kudos to Papa!
Hugs,
Dadguy
