I don't mind if they are good, everyone deserves to be paid for their work. It's just starting to look like everyone is thinking they have a Special edition. It won't mean anything anymore. ana

Don't think you're really paying extra for the game so much as buying a strategy guide. haven't done any extras yet so won't comment on that. If I ever finish Dire Grove and Poe, then will make a decision about the extras and if worth buying in the future.
Never resist a generous impulse.

Being one of the people who needs walkthroughs, I have found that the extra cost is well worth having a strategy guide built into a game. It's a real pain in the neck to me to close a game, get on line and read a walkthrough, and then to back to the game. I'm happy to pay the extra cost. Just one more opinion. Love, Teddo

Teddo, I'm not knocking the price or what they are doing, I just find it a bit of a chuckle that it was done with one game as something special and it's spreading faster than the swine flu to other developers. My only concern is that they won't be anything special anymore, just an average game they are increasing the price for. I bought the Collectors Edition of Dire Grove and it was every penny. Ana

If I read it right - all the CE or SE games from BFG will also be released as regular games later for the same $6.99 so it will always be our choice which version to purchase. I do not think we need to fret over this. Linda

After my 1 hour trial expired....I was so engrosed in the game, no way could I wait. Bought it and find its really very good. The hint system is such that you can get a gentle nudge, a light push or a downright shove. Depending on what you want or need. Then there are lots of times the skip is available. Good humor in the dialog. Good graphics and a very clever story line. All in all I am quite pleased and the game is well worth the cost. My only concern is that no CD is offered. Just the download. I would prefer to have a CD and be able to play in the future. With the economy the way it is you never know when a site will have to close.

There's another cop that talks to you throughout the whole game, Sherryah. He's pretty funny too.

Great game finished it last night. Does anyone know where it can be purchased on disc? I would like this one on my shelf as a permenant save for future use. Thank you for any info you can share.

Not yet Cherie, but there are usually retail copies within 6 months of a release by average. Ana
