I've played this game before and didn't have a problem, but now, I'm stuck with the trash bin and crate. I can pull the bin forward once, but that's it. Can't get behind it to push it forward, and can't remember how I did it last time..Nuts! How do you get them to move forward?

Hi gillann,

To push the bin forward you need to have a free square in front of the bin for it to move into. To pull the bin backwards you need to have a free square behind you. An arrow will appear on top of the bin showing you the available direction.

You might need to re-plan your route. smile

I'm trying to open the passage in the fireplace, but can't press tile #5. Slyvie just says "No can do". the sequence, according to the WT is 7 4 9 6 2 5. No problem with the other tiles, just the final one. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

Let's recap this part:

Be sure that you cleaned the base of the fireplace with the broom, and seen the 6 tiles there - that's important.

The middle tile of the mantel up above also needs cleaning. Attach the moist napkin to the bough in your inventory, and then secure the napkin with the piece of thread. You can now reach the mantel. Clean the middle tile.

Once you've done all that, try the tile-pressing sequence again and see what happens.

Hi, Rushes, I cleaned the tiles inside the fireplace, and tried to clean the upper tiles, but Sylvie comments that the cleaning rod-with napkins and thread is "too slack". Not sure what that's all about. I can see both the upper and lower tiles, so assumed they're clean. What could the problem be? Thanks!

Did it! I don't know what I did before, but it worked this time!

Totally stuck on the final scene...Placed the cubes on the pedestal and read the WT, but obviously I've done something wrong, because the portal isn't opening. What exactly is the correct sequence for the pedestals? I know which is which, but am not sure what symbol goes where.
Thanks, Gillann
Solved it! Thanks for all the help.

Hi,

I tried clicking the signet ring on the wax in the cap, but nothing happens. What am I missing?

Hi Ladybug,

Have you examined the ring in close-up?
