Received an e-mail from MSN about games being offered and Empress of the Deep was included. What the heck, I'll give it a try. It looked interesting.
Downloaded the trial version, and by the time my trial version expired, 30 minutes, I was hooked.
This game is listed as a hiden object game in GameHouse and MSN, but it's not a pure hidden object game such as Motimer Beckett, or the like. Sure there are rooms where objects, in plain sight, have to be found, but there are also other puzzles that have to be solved. How do you open a door when you realize pieces of the mechanism are missing. Or open a door by pressing a combination of buttons so all lights are lit--without clues.
The graphics aren't as crystal clear as I found in any of the Motimer Beckett games, and neither was the motion graphics--though I'll admit it may just have been my system.
Oh, and the Empress of the Deep is a "to be continued."
