I know this is an older game, but it's nostalgic and intriguing ... and just my speed wth my ever increasing deteriorating eyesight. And, yes, Maggie, 'tis I !!

What I need is somebody to explain how to solver the third puzzle for which I cannot find a pattern. I click on one square, others swap places, seemingly in a random fashion. If this game is just too old to merit help, then I'll dump it. I mighlt add that I finally got Pandora's Box to work on my new, modern XP computer, etc. One of the BEST games I have every played. Terrific graphics and VERY challenging -- a classic!! Thanks, all.. Russl

Hi Russ,

Long time no see! Glad to see you.
Let me check which one is the third puzzle.

I will move this thread to the correct forum and then you check this post later for I found about that puzzle. I will also post a walkthrough link if I find it. Be back.

I love Pandora's Box. Glad that you got it working.

---

Here's a Dream Chronicles 2 walkthrough.
Click on the pictures and they will be seen bigger.

This is the description of that puzzle from the walkthrough above:

MAGIC LOCK PUZZLE

You have to recreate the puzzle that was quickly shown to you at the beginning of this round.
All your tiles have to be creme in order to solve this puzzle.
Click on the tiles one at a time, start at the bottom and work your way up.
As a row is completely creme, move on to the next row. As the rows are completed, click on the rows above it so you don't mess up the sequence too much.
If you click on a tile and it changes the pattern to something you don't want, click on it again to change it to it's original pattern.

Are you working on this puzzle - click here.

Hope that's the one.

You had to 'admoniosh' me several times in the past LOL) ) Also, is there any way to get e-mail notification of an answer? Seems like last time, I checked on a radio button somewhere?? Thanks much. I'm GLAD to be back. . Russ

Oh, YES ... that IS the puzzle. I'm on it!! I am so impressed with the speed with which you can dredge up an old game , and display the puzzle. You are a computer whiz, for sure !! R

Russ I have replayed this game several times in the last month. I love it. I started it again yesterday. If I can help let me know. It's a fun little game.

Russ, I know your view is different then mine so I'll take a shot. Do you have a "Topic Options" on the top of this thread? If so, click on it and add to watched topics.

At first, I thought the game was a bit 'light,' but have changed my mind. That you played it more than once is interesting and speaks well for it!! I appreciate the help. I finally finished the 3rd game, and now wonderring what to do with the stones. Gotta place them accordilng to the walk-through, which, btw, is very well done !!

I dio see a place to check called Add this thread to my Watched Topics, but I don't know what this all means. Can you explain? Tnx !

Also, when I was on Boomers before, I used to get an email notification of a reply. I do not know how to activate that part of the serice, or is it available any longer? A link to the reply sent by e-mail would be nice, if still a Boomer's feature. Russ

Russ,

We updated the program several times since you where here last.

Do these:
Go to top of this thread-page.
Click on Topic Options. See the drop down menu.
Select 'Add to your Watched Topics'.

Then click on 'My Place' at top of page.
See a drop down menu. Select 'edit preference'.
Scroll down to "By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?"
Tick the yes selection.
Then click on the submit button at bottom of that page.
There are other selections there in preference that you might want to turn on.

If you have other questions - post. luck

Russ if you are talking about the 4 round stones they need to be placed in the pile of rocks in front of each of the 3 closed stone doors. The others have "imprints" on them and they go on the sides of the hidden door on the left. Hope this helps.

Yes, indeed, it helped. Now I am assembling the stamping machine. A fun game for sure. I alternate between ilt and Pandora's Box, which is therapy for me s I am 3/4 blind and the puzzles help keep my eyes working hard.. Thanks all, Russ

Okay, I set myself up for email notification. What an impressive wesbsite you all have. Terrific!! Like ole Arnold, I'll be back !! Russ

Help! I was able to stamp the two metal molds, but the infernal machine will not accept the 3rd one. I have rotated that globe around the wooden circle a dozen times, watched the blue light come on and off, but I can't get that third, imprinted mold. What can be wrong?

Are you sure it's not a mold you already used? Are there two blue lights?
You placed a blank stone in the bottom?

Every printed stone is in its proper place in the walls. I have 3 metal molds in inventory. Two, I wdas able to get stamped. The third mold, I could not get the stamping machine to accept and stamp. There are no blue lighs now. Not sure what you mean about the blank stone? I have no stones in inventory. Not sure how that third mold, which will not stamp, could have been used before. I'm not at all clear on what you mean; sorry. I hate to abandon this game; it's entertaining, but I may have to, because I do not know how to solve this glitch. Thanks (ps- I followed all instructions, but still did not get notification by email that you had commented, above. Russ

Russ, Are you sure the mold is not already stamped? Put it in your inventory and see if it's stamped. If it's not stamped put it back and make sure you moved the "globe" into the correct position or it will not stamp the mold. You will need to move the handle around till it shines the blue light on the mold.
Hope this helps.

I have been trying hard to find all discs, hexagon pieces, keys, etc. to operate the gramophone. Some pieces are invisible until I 'do something else' (says the w.t.).. but what is the 'something else'? I am hopelessly mired down at this momentl. I have Dream Chronicles, the original now, and hope it is a bit easier than Dream 2..,? Russ

Russ have you gone back to the watermill? The crank handle is in there. Do you have all the "disks" to put around the bottom of the gramophone? Let me know if I can help find those pieces.

Russ I think after playing Dream2 you will find the first one easier.
If you need help finding the "disks" I can help you.
