This game has a good storyline. A little different play than the ordinary IHog. Puzzles can be skipped and hints recharge. I bought it. The only annoying thing is that it auto saves and takes time. Other than that, not a bad game.

I think I might buy this one ... I got quite far along with the demo. I usually check the walkthru (if there is one), not for hints, but to see how long it might be. It appears that my progress with the demo took me about half way.

One drawback might be that it isn't really replayable. Still, at the wonderful price BigFish offers, it's cheaper than a movie, and probably lasts longer.

Is there a way to turn off the 'sparkles' hint system?

Hi guys, I've been playing with this one a bit, and I really like it Except I can't figure out how to get the menu up so I can close the game correctly.

I don't see a menu button anywhere and escape, tab, and space don't work.

Is it just me?

Edit: rotfl I found it as soon as I posted! The ole Ask at Boomers and then solve it yourself. puppy

It's in the journal if anyone else is having a "duh" moment. puppy

L4L, I did the same thing. I tried everything and was thinking I'd have to shut down the computer to end it. Then I saw it was in the journal also. duh

Darlene, not sure if this is the right answer, but do the sparkes have anythig to do with which mode you're playing in?

I enjoyed playing and think it's a good game; however several times, when the game was loading automatic saves it went into "pause" mode. There was no way for me to bring it back. I noticed on the BF forum, there were quite a few complaints about this. Just a word of warning. Teddo

Happens to me all the time!!!

I also had the problem of trying to get out and couldn't... took me 1/8th of my demo time to find it. LOL. My save doesn't take long at all. I like the game but wish the exit was easier.

I played the demo and it was fine and then decided to buy and now I have a blank screen right after it loads the first couple scenes. I tried removing it and then reloading still a problem. any one else had this problem?

Quite a few people on the Big Fish forums are reporting a problem of a similar nature. I don't see any word as yet as to whether a new build is going to be released or not. I'd write to Customer Support.

I played the demo and I was delighted with the voice overs in beginning of game, graphics and plot of the story. I love everything about the game except the voices do not continue through out the entire game. Puzzles are fun and hard to stop playing because the story line pulls you in. Extra nice touch is playing both characters a man and a woman. So I would like to see more like this game and even a sequel but hope they continue with the voice overs through the entire game. Great game and glad I bought it.

EDIT......................I finished the game and loved every moment of this game. I had no problems with crashing or bug of any kind. The voice overs seem to be more frequent in mid game and they are done very professionally. The game is a decent length of time I spent more than 5 hours but I took my time.

Puzzles are easily skipped and I look forward to a sequel of this game. I played the novel so I had shorter time for hint refill and more dialog I love this game. Highly recommend it. the voice overs came back in mid game it appears to be random which character speaks and when. I am hoping the game designers make a sequel. I am so sorry to hear people are having problems playing the game and hope the BFG fixes it with a patch. I have Vista home premium Nivida 8800 video card so if anyone is wondering what my OS is perhaps that will help someone.

I'm also running Vista Home Premium and I was a little disappointed with this game also. My game blackened out close to very end . If BF fixes it I still wouldn't want to replay the entire game after coming o close to the end. I really enjoyed it but couldn't finish it.

Well, played about 20 minutes. Sorry, but a no-go for me. Would have loved to have gotten into the story of this game, but I'm just too bummed by the sparklers showing me where to look. No challenge in that. Other than that, it looks like an awesome game.... sad

I'm sorry Darlene, that the sparkles turned you away from this game. Actyually the sparkles show only the places of the HO scenes. This feature was used also in RTR...

I'm at the part after fixing the sink. I keep getting message "you're done here," and all other areas are locked. Can't do anything. Any suggestions or anyone having same problem? Thanks.

I am one of those who love the sparkles giving me a nudge in the right direction. There is a harder version with less dialog and hints refill slower to those who like the harder versions,if my memory serves me correct. I finished this game and loved every minute of it and hope the game designers make a sequel.

Hi Laurette, There are things that need to be done in the dark room,
Click to reveal..
for instance a picture needs developing did you do it?

I am sorry GBC I have Nivida 8800 graphic card and had no problem. I do hope that your able to play it again the ending is very interesting.

EDIT...........Whoops just realized I stacked posts trying to answer different questions. Tried to delete this post but it wouldn't let me. Smacking own hand, Bad Sherryah! There now I won't have to be rebuked by mods. Looking innocent blush

Sherryah: I wasn't allowed to do anything. I did, however, start a new profile and it went smoothly. Thanks.

I spoke too soon. Just went back into the game, it loaded up, then all I saw was a black screen, an arrow and the piece of film. Happened twice. I think someone else mentioned this before. Guess I'll have to contact BFG.

I finished the game playing in the novel mode, pretty interesting and unusual game. I solved only about half of the secrets and decided to replay it in a classical mode. Without the dialogs and a challenge to choose the wright answer it was much easier and less interesting so I switched back to the novel. But now I don't have the list of the secrets, I can't find it in the journal or on the left side where goals are...Have anybody replayed it yet?
